This book was crazy. It was my first novel by Mlynowski and it prompted me to check out her other novels. I love how the main character gets sucked into the world of reality TV "fame". My cousin also read it and loved it. I think she liked it even more than I did! :D

Ever wondered what it would be like to star on a reality TV show, like REAL WORLD or THE BACHELOR? This book takes you there. Sunny Langstein is a normal, t-shirt and jean-wearing 24 yr old until she makes the decision to move to NYC to live with her boyfriend. When her job search in NY goes awry, Sunny ends up being cast on a reality show called Party Girls, and soon finds herself obsessed with designer labels, trendy clubs, and the celebrity lifestyle. Can Sunny's relationship with her boyfriend withstand this 360-degree change? Read the book and find out. A fun read for all.

One of my favorite things about Mlynowski is her fully developed characters - and this book was no exception. Although the sister, who I thought was going to be an integral part of the story, kind of falls by the wayside. But still a very cute read...and very clever on the names of the chapters.

A great chick lit book to read. Laughed, snickered, and read it quite fast. Working in television myself I laughed at some of the situations described as fact not chick lit fiction. Look forward to reading other books by Sarah Mlynowski.

Quick fun read, even if it was kind of predicitable in its storyline
Fun read. It was a bit far fetched in some parts, but enjoyable overall.

A really good book, actually. It was an interesting look into what it might be like to become suddenly famous, and how it can change a person.
I loved this book! So funny and really enjoyable!

Mlynowski's third novel follows Sunny Langstein to New York, where she's relocated to live with her boyfriend, Steve. Without any real prospects of employment, Sunny accepts an offer from her father's much younger girlfriend to audition for the new reality television show, Party Girls. Sunny wins the part and is whisked off for a makeover (her brown hair becomes black) and a fashionable name change (she becomes "Sunny Lang"). Sunny's costars are Erin, a wild slut; Brittany, a well-endowed lush; and Michelle, a tall, cool redhead who might be a potential friend. Party Girls premieres to impressive numbers, but as the show goes on, Sunny begins to buy into the hype: the recognition, the handsome men at the bars, the glamorous life. Then her relationship with Steve is put in jeopardy when Party Girls turns into a competition with the prize being the chance to host Party Girls II in L.A. A fun and telling look at the world of reality TV and the lure of fame. Kristine Huntley

When Sunny Langstein decides to pack up Florida life and move in with her boyfriend inManhattan, her big sister isn't thrilled. What modern-day twenty-four-year-old leaves her promising career, fabulous friends and perfect underground parking spot with accompanying convertible for . . . a guy?
Only, Sunny has an additional incentive: the chance to star on Party Girls, the latest reality-television show. True, she might become a national laughingstock and it pays nothing, BUT it's a job -- a job in Manhattan. She'll get to be with her boyfriend, Steve. Okay, so she can't tell anyone she isn't single -- but with freebie designer clothes, alpha-beta peels and coconut-cream pedicures to make her transformation into a made-for-TV single girl complete . . . she can't lose!
But when the show's premier plunges Sunny into a media frenzy of talk shows, tampon endorsements, TV heartthrobs and S&M toys, how long will it take for Sunny to lose track of where she ends and her alter ego, Sunny Lang the _ber Fashionista Single Superstar, begins?

This is a red dress ink chic-lit novel.
A fun, cute book but there was just something missing for me. It didn't catch my attention like her other book, Fishbowl.
