This book was MUCH better than the 1st one in this series. It's almost like reading a different author. Although the story line is still lacking excitement and mystery, the characters were better defined. Quick read with a few laughs. I'm hoping the 3rd book will be even better.

From the back cover:
He swore off women, she swore off men...
Jason Pickering Goddard's career as a playboy hockey star comes to a dramatic halt when he tragically damaages his legs in a car accident. Swearing off women, he decides to stand in as Director of Special Events at the Pickering Foundation in the interim--knowing his celebrity status will greatly help the foundation's foster home for boys.
But neither expected this kind of magic.
A sexy witch cursed by a cheating ex-fiance, Kira Fitzgerald has closed the book on men. But a new chapter in her life opens when she's appointed as Jason's coordinator. The clash of their strong personalities ignites Jason's competitive streak and sparks an inner fire that threatens to melt the ice around his heart--aa slow warm-up that weakens Kira's own defenses. And there's not a spell strong enough to save her...
This was a delightful story. The main characters from The Kitchen Witch make an appearance bringing back memories of that wonderful book. I can't wait to read The Scot, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Victoria's story. I'm sure these characters will make an appearance in that story as well.

I loved this book. Second in the accidental witch series, it has a great humor and is just so much fun. In the first book you were left wondering if the heroine of that book was involved in witchcraft or not, but in the first one there is no doubt the heroine is a "witch". I LOVED the scene where she meets the hero for the first time...So funny.

Gave this book a good 100 pages before I decided it just wasn't grabbing me and I couldn't go on. It was quite a bore and very disappointing.

Not as good as the first book in the series, but I still loved this book. Plot was good, characters were cute and funny. Good interplay between the characters. Overall a great read and a cute book. I will definately be moving on in the series. This book is a keeper!

If you're looking for witchcraft, this story doesn't have it. She basically waves her wand around, not much else. This author has interesting ideas, but the story ZOTS all over, and isn't a smooth read. I do like how she romances up her partner, and for that I will try another of her books, but for me, this story was a one time read only, not a keeper, so I'll be swapping it for something better (I hope).

A modern witch who uses her wand to great advantage!!
Love this book. The sexual chemistry between teh leads are smoldering.
A playboy hockey star damages his legs in a car accident. He becomes the interm director of events for his grandmothers foundation. His assistant is getting over a broken romance. They heat it up. Great story!
A sexy witch cursed by a cheating ex-fiance, Kira Fitzgerald has closed the book on men, or has she?? Nice easy and fun read and great book after the author's THE KITCHEN WITCH.
Fun and fast read. You'll enjoy it too!
What a fun book. Keeps you guessing, is she really a witch or not?
An entertaining, fun and light witch story.

A really fun book as well as funny! I picked this up just for a "light summer read" and ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Jason is a playboy hockey star who has been seriously injured in a car accident so he ends up as the Director of Special Events at the Pickering Foundation which works with orphans. Kira the witch is cursed by a cheating ex-fiance and has sworn off dating. She ends up as Jason's coordinator. Of course the personalities clash and lots of heat - sexy heat - is produced.

Cute Book - Fun read - Although this is a stand alone book, it would probably be better to read the previous book "The Kitchen Witch" before starting this one because characters are recurring. I enjoyed the humor and the imagery.
Very good story. It is about a hurt hockey player who has to run his grandmothers foundation while he recovers. This is the second Witch book by Annette Blair.

Liked this one just as much as her first one!
Kira is a white witch with a genius for organizing special events. When disabled star hockey player Jason Goddard--known far and wide as the Best Kisser in America and a playboy of the first order--meets her, she has just dumped her jock fiance after finding him in bed with her sister the month before the wedding. So she's muttering spells and he gets entirely the wrong impression, and for her part she has no idea that he is her new boss, the beloved grandson of Bessie, her landlord and friend. The Pickering Foundation is in a financial bind, and Bessie hopes that together her two favorite people can bring in new money to support their charitable endeavors, especially St. Anthony's Home for Boys. Blair's sexy contemporary mating dance, set in Newport, Rhode Island, entertainingly pairs two commitment-phobic individuals and features cameo appearances by Melody and Logan from her previous romantic comedy, The Kitchen Witch (2004).

Funny
This one wasn't as good as 'The Kitchen Witch', but it wasn't a bad read at all. Some of it was too repetitive, the word Witch was used far too much, the main characters repeatedly saying they didn't want a relationship got old and the fact that Kira carried her wand everywhere was just ridiculous. However, the bones of the story were solid, and there were some great parts. The beginning and end were the best and those things made it all worth while.

This is a great sequel to the first book kitchen witch. I kinda feel sorry for the hero, he is manipulated by every woman in his life. But he has a great heart and a sense of humor. The storyline is very light, no deep twist and turn. a little soul searching by the hero, but not real deep.
It was an interesting read that i would reccommend to anyone.

I love fantasy books, this one was no exception.
Just finished this one this morning. I liked it a lot better than
The Kitchen Witch. As a character, Kira is a lot more interesting than Melody, and Kira’s counterpart Jason, more interesting than Melody’s Logan. Like the previous book, there was a lot of back and forth with the main characters trying to deny their feelings for each other, but unlike in the first, the reasons for Kira and Jason’s denial of their feelings was more believable, and even understandable, than Melody and Logan’s were. And they were both a lot less uptight too, which I appreciated.
My Favorite Witch left me with less of a “Gimme a break!” attitude than
The Kitchen Witch did. Overall, I found it an amusing story, which had me chuckling at times and held my interest. Despite the fact that it was still purely a romance, and despite the title, didn’t really contain any supernatural element, Kira’s Witchy ways were more a part of the story this time around than Melody’s were in the previous book.

I absolutely loved this book. It was so much better than the first book as the characters in this one were much more developed and mature. There was more of a story line here and just as much of the erotic romance that makes this story fly. Can't wait for the next one.

Cute story, I liked this one better than the first in the series, The Kitchen Witch. this one follows Mel's friend Kira Fitzgerald. I can't wait for the next in the series, The Scot, the Witch & the Wardrobe which follows Mel and Kira's friend, Vickie, that owns a vintage clothing store.
