This is like the other harmony books, there is a hot macho hunter and a independent tangler/archeologist. They both have psychic powers and live near a way too dangerous city. They get sucked into someone else's mess and almost die and of course fall in love. But unlike the other harmony books there are no strong characters.
This one kinda let me down. It was too much like the others in the series, so the characters never had a chance to stand out on their own. Not to mention that it was way too short. It was like listening to a friend tell a story but they keep leaving out important parts. you end up confused but nodding your head and uhh-huhing hoping they will flesh it out.
I reccomend you read the others in the series instead! They are much more interesting and exciting.

2005 82 pages Short story Special Edition
Just below the city of Cadence lie the remains of the Dead City of Old Cadence-resonation with the psychic and para energy of it's dead souls. While exploring the darkest depths of the city, two business partners discover passions within each other that are very much alive...
Viginia Burch, a psychic archaeologist, can't believe her luck when she meets Sam Gage, a ghost-hunter and owner of prime real estate in the Old Quarter of Cadence, above the Dead City. He offers her his space to live and start up her business. What follows is an even more intriguing proposal-to become his wife. Strictly for professional reasons, of course...
Their marriage of convenience would lead to a very lucrative business partnership, Gage&Burch Consulting. Until something throws a wrench into the plan: the undeniably sensual energy that exists between them-and a love so strong it could wake the ghosts below...

Quick easy read with likable characters but then I'm biased I like the majority of Castle/Krentz/Quick's books.

A short but delightful story. Love the Harmony based books.

cute little story -- I just can't seem to get enought of Jayne Castle. Even though story is short it shows a unique side of Harmony

Way too light for a Jayne Castle. This book did not do her series justice.
This is a slim REPRINT OF A NOVELLA that appeared in the anthology, CHARMED.
Very good, but a very small book
