This book is one of those books that if you want to just read a easy, fast book. It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be though....

Go inside the diary of Jamie Kelly, who promises that everything in this book is true, or aleast as true as it should be. Funny, and entertaining, this book will keep kids laughing and turning the pages for more. Here's an entry: "Dear Dumb Diary,
School was okay today. Actually, it was better than okay. Angeline got her long, beautiful hair tangled in one of the jillion things she has dangling from her backpack, and the school nurse- who is now one of my main heroes- took a pair of scissors and snipped two feet of silky blond hair from the left side of her head, so now Angeline only looks like THE PRETTIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD if you're standing on her right. (Although personally, I think she would look better if I was standing on her neck.)

Dear Dumb Diary: Let's Pretend This Never Happened is a very funny story (well, really a diary) about a girl that's in middle school. Her name is Jamie Kelly, and she really dislikes Angeline, the most popular girl in her school (Jamie, acording to the popularity meter, is just 7/10!). She has to deal with the fear of being nicknamed, vengeful beagles, and getting her 'future boyfriend' stolen. It's a pretty funny story & it's very realistic. Its drawings are great, not the best but they're funny. I reccomend this book to 8-12 year olds. Also, this book is made by the creator of Happy Bunny, so I suppose whoever is a fan of Jim Benton should read it.

"For everybody that is in, or will be in, or has never been in middle school."

Read the hilarious, candid (& sometimes mean) diaries of Jamie Kelly, who promises that everything in her diary is true...or at least as true as it needs to be. In this book, Jamie contends with Angeline, the school's prettiest, most popular girl (who Jamie thinks is a goon!) and the impending visit of her troll-like little cousin. Will Jamie survive? Will she go mad? Will she send her mom's nasty casserole to starving children in Wheretheheckistan? You'll just have to read the first installment of Dear Dumb Diary to find out!
