Red Hat Ladies are great! Loved the bridge analogy to life.

A fun read. But one should have an interest in the card game "bridge" as it plays an integral part in the story.

This was probably the best one of the Red Hat ladies' books that I've read so far. I love these 50+ ladies with their mastermind plans! Must read..

Life is full of surprises, first her husband dumps her for a Hooters waitress, next she buys a 1920's house with a heart shaped arch into the living room. Then her new neighbor comes calling and tells her "Fifty is not too old to learn anything!" and proceeds to help her start dating, live life her own way, and deal with her ex, who now can't seem to resist her!

Ellie Johnston's husband dumps her for a Hooters waitress and Elllie buys a rundown 1920s Tudor house on Woodlawn Avenue. It's got a heart-shaped living room doorway, the reason for which become evident when neighbor Jane Mansfield visits with her famous pound cake. It seems that 4 houses on Woodlawn Avenue were built by bridge-playing friends and Ellie is the Queen of Hearts. Her 3 bridge partners not only teach her the game, but help her find a new career, start dating after her divorce and deal with her ex-husband.
