This series is excellent and surprising. An unusual book because it is about a CIA operative who is well past the age you would normally expect to find. This is because Mrs. Pollifax didn't start until after her kids were raised with kids of their own and she was a widow finding life dull and boring. Her life is anything but now as she circles the globe finding adventure and risk wherever she goes. This is the second book in the series.

Great book with great characters. This is a series and I'm making my way through all of them. A more relaxing read for a summer afternoon!

I love the Mrs Pollifax series. While they are great cozies, don't underestimate the amazingly clever Mrs. Pollifax, she's full of surprises.

CIA agent and old biddy Mrs. Polifax causes trouble and hilarity. 1st in the series
As usual, wonderful. Mrs. Pollifax is an excellent travel companion, even if you're only take a mental vacation.
In this novel, Gilman continues her delightful tale-spinning of the adventures of Mrs. Pollifax, including the elements that made the first book such an engaging read.
The humor and barely noticeable moral explorations are again implemented here, complementing the action and suspense surrounding Mrs. Pollifax's supposedly innocuous assignment. Her amusing tangents to her mission (involving the admirable Colin Ramsey) produce a constant source of surprise and attentiveness in readers - or, in this case, listeners.
Highly recommended.

Delightful romp through Turkey with Mrs. Polfax as a currier/spy.

When Emily Pollifax answered the phone that Sunday morning she quickly forgot about her Garden Club tea in the afternoon. The last time she had heard the voice on the other end of the line it had sent her off on a journey that plunged her into a wild tangle of secret agents and high adventure. Now the man from the CIA was asking if she could leave immediately on a mission that would take her halfway across the world. what could she say but yes?
This book was gave to me and I have not read it, and figured someone else would love to have it.
#2 in the series. Love Mrs. Pollifax, what a hoot! :-D
