I'm not a King fan, but this series was great! The Green Mile represents the last walk taken by condemned prisoners. Is John Coffey a vicious murder of children, or a gentle giant wrongfully accused? Set in 1932, this story of murder, mystery and miracles is told from the point of view of a prison guard.

i absolutely LOVE the green mile. especially in the serial novel format. it's a great story, well told. and even tho it's over, the contest at the back of each book makes a great writing exercise... just write an essay instead of 50 words or less.
This series is so great! I loved it!
I especially cried on this last part of the series..

Great series. All six books are a great read!
As always Stephen King keeps us with our eyes glued to the pages.
It's Coffey's turn to walk the green mile. You see death by execution may be the easy way out. But, it's the living with the consequences that may last an eternity...

Excellent series I recommend reading all of these and then seeing the movie, the books always seem better in my opinion.
This is the last volume, John Coffey going to the electric chair. Very sad. I loved him.

Book 6 of The Green Mile - The conclusion of a strange but beautiful thriller by Stephen King. He holds you in suspense throughout the story, but also infuses this tale with tender gentleness from a surprising source.
