Book Reviews of The Chocolate Bridal Bash (Chocoholic Mystery, No 6)

Great 6th book in the series. The plot is more complicated and interesting than in the other books, you have to really pay attention. Highly recommended!!

This one was better than some of the others in the series, but the writing still isn't up to par. The characters are lackluster, and the malapropisms are too rampant and annoying. The mystery itself was ok though not too difficult to figure out.

If you've read Joanna Carl's other books you will LOVE this one! Lots of mystery, mayhem, and of course, chocolate!

Lee solves an old mystery. Good read, though Lee's speech problems are played up way too much in this book. They were amusing in the other books, but they were stupid in this one.

Enjoyed this one very much, more complicated than the others and different. Characters are growing and getting better.

Murder; Wedding; Interfering soon to be Mother-in-Law and Mother refusing to come to wedding. How much more will Lee McKinney have to cope with?

6th in the series. In this book we get to learn a little more about Lee's Mom. I really enjoy the characters. The only thing that drives me crazy is Lee's "twisted-tongue". A good cozy series.

This book is easily my favorite in the series. The action starts quickly and the pace never lags. While I can usually figure out the ending early, this one had me going until the very end. While I did put the pieces together a little before Lee, it was only by a few pages.

With the focus on the past, many of the characters from previous books are reduced to cameos. Giving the recurring characters more page time would have just slowed down the story, something I am glad didn't happen. The cast of new characters is engaging, and they more then made up for the reduced roll the regulars had.

About the only problem with the book is Lee's tongue tangles. While they had been diminishing in the last few installments, here they are back in force. While a few sprinkled throughout the book make me chuckle, here they began to get annoying.

I couldn't put this book down but raced through it to see how the story ended. Any fan of the series will love the latest tasty treat.

This was the first book that I read by this author.
I really enjoyed it. Its a light mystery, and if you like chocolate, you will enjoy
the mentions of different kinds of goodies from the shop in this book.

Love this series of lighthearted mystery and romance.

Unfortunately not as much chocolate "talk" in this one as in the previous books in the series.

A wonderful chocolate mystery from the TenHuis Chocolade chocolate shop about a murder which happened many years before. And chocolate on almost every page with warm, funny characters! Good cozy mystery!

Another great read from Joanna Carl.

although her other books were quite good, this one dragged for me.

Great continution of the series.

A fun read.

Lee and Joe have a good relationship and continue to work together to solve crimes.

Great book! Must read in the chocolate mystery series.
