Joanne gets a little more annoying in this book. It's one thing to be rebellious and independent, it's another to constantly do the stupidest thing just because someone doesn't want you to.

Great series. It just keeps getting better. I love all the characters in these books. I was a little upset about the ending but it did set up the next story so I will get over it.

The series is fascinating conceptually and truly different from other paranormals and I would ordinarily be raving about it - the characters are strong, the dialogue is good. That said, it is probably one of the most frustrating that I have read - it seems that Caine is incapable of finishing a book by actually ending it. Windfall and Firestorm (Book 5) are basically two halves of the same book which ends with yet another "cliffhanger" to book 6. It isn't unusual for books in this genre to have a major world arc that moves throughout the series, it is very annoying to never have a book actually end.

Okay, have I said these books were intense before? If so, that was nothing compared to this one. Intense doesn't even begin to describe it. Heart-breaking for sure. Wondering who can be trusted. But seeing that Joanne does have friends and that there is hope. But like Joanne, I, too, am heart-broken.

This series is very intense with fast pacing and crazy twists. Sometimes I wonder if the characters are totally insane though. Some choices are just way too bizarre.
Joanne is trying so hard to be "normal" and fit in. She gets a job as a Weather Girl at a local station.
Meanwhile she gets a visit from her formally rich sister who is running from a bad divorce.
Her sister moves in, and finds a cute but mysterious boyfriend.
Joanne has got so many problems with horney weather men and a van that is stalking her day and night.
Sarah gets in head over heals with her British beau and Joanne is trying to keep her wits about her with David who is slowly draining her and dying himself.
Some of the constant problems she has is kind of overwhelming, but this book ends with a really good break to go into another novel.
Kind of makes you want to buy the next to find out: will David ever be restored? Will Joanne ever have her and Davids baby?

Great Series, but must be read in order, author really fails to do much reviewing to catch up readers, or even to review.
This is the book ,where I start not liking the series. I will read the next one ,but after that I'm not sure.
