Book Reviews of Simply Divine

I'm usually a fan of Brit Chick Lit. I just wasn't a fan of this book and ended up skimming to finish it. Too wordy (does that make sense??), especially when it came to all the descriptions of Mullions, etc., and the Champagne character annoyed me, even though she did have some funny one-liners, though not enough to hold my interest. Oh, well...

Funny British chicklit. I could identify with the character even though my life is very different from hers.

If you are interested in a light read - this is great.

Her best friend, Tally, wishes she had a boyfriend, a knight with a gold car, who could ride up and keep her beloved family estate from falling into the hands of greedy developers. Which is about as likely to happen as Jane embarking on a guilt-free, passionate affair with the sexy writer who lives upstairs. Instead, she has just been recruited for the magazine's latest circulation-boosting gimmick: ghostwriting the life and racy time of celebrity socialite Champagne D'Vyne.

Fun read. English...I liked the characters...very human.

Hysterically funny read

Classic chick lit. Cute.
