I really have enjoyed all of the books in this series. The others are After Dark, Harmony, After Glow and the earlier ones include Amaryllis, Zinnia and Orchid. There was also a very short novella published called Bridal Jitters which is written more in the style of After Dark, Harmony, After Glow and Ghost Hunter. An upcoming release is titled Silver Master due out in August 2007.

Although I liked her previous ones better, it was still worth the read. Quick easy read.

Great book, easy read and keeps you interested with just enough futuristic setting involving the ancient past. Mystery and a bit of a thriller. Good read for those quiet evenings.

Science fiction. Entering the world of Harmony where deadly energy ghosts lurk, dust bunnies make great pets and mysterious Guild secrets threaten Elly St.Clair's love life. A very enjoyable read. Look forward to reading more Harmony based stories.

One of the better Castle (Krentz) books, it is the story of a botanist who breaks off her engagement to the Guild boss because she thinks he isn't attracted to her. To show her how very wrong she is, Cooper follows her to her new city, but the two of them fall into a murder mystery. Set in the future.

Romantic Suspense I read this and listened to the audio version. What an imagination. An alpha male and a woman who ties to ignore true love but falls for it. Great read

I love this series. It really uplifts my mood when these tough economic times start to bring me "down". I have read them so much I had to order an extra set, because my first set was falling apart!

Not a lot going on here. The story did not suck me in at all.

Two hundred years ago a vast energy Curtain opened in the vicinity of Earth, making interstellar travel practical for the first time. In typical human fashion, thousands of eager colonists packed up their stuff and lost no time heading out to create new homes and new societies on the unexplored worlds. Harmony was one of those worlds.
The colonists brought with them all the comforts of home--sophisticated technology, centuries of art and literature, and the latest fashions. Trade through the Curtain made it possible to stay in touch with families back on Earth and also to keep the computers and high-tech gadgets working.
Things went swell for a while . . . and then the Curtain closed, disappearing as mysteriously as it had opened.
Cut off from Earth, no longer able to obtain the tools and materials needed to keep their machines functioning, and with no hope of rescue, the stranded colonists were abruptly thrown back to a far more primitive existence. Just staying alive suddenly became a major problem.
But on Harmony, things are a little different. There is residual psychic energy left in weird alien ruins, and people get buzzed on that energy, and some will get rich selling it, and some will get dead . . .

Reads like an old story that the author "re-engineered," but still an OK story.

Where deadly energy ghosts lurk in the ruins of an ancient alien civilization. Where dust bunnies prove to be loyal pets. And where a ghost hunter will discover that a woman's heart is the most dangerous adversary of all......

Local Guild boss and powerful ghost-hunter Cooper Boone is everything botanist Elly St. Clair could ask for-the handsome, strong, and silent type. Maybe too silent. For when Guild secrets threaten her career at the college, Elly has to call off their marriage-and leave small-town life behind...
But starting over in the thriving metropolis of Cadence City isn't easy, especially when one of Elly's new friends disappears in the eerie catacombs beneath the streets. Cooper turns up just in time to help Elly investigate. And as the mystery deepens and dangerous ghost myths and legends come to light, Cooper makes it clear he intends to stick around-and this time he's holding nothing back...

I love all her books! These are so creative - it combines a romance book with a sci-fi setting. Don't miss After Dark and After Glow by Jayne Castle, same setting, different people.

From Booklist
*Starred Review* Writing as Castle, the best-selling Jayne Ann Krentz creates another bewitching story set in the world of Harmony, a future planet of psychics and ghost hunters. If Elly St. Clair knew she was going to need Cooper Boone's help, she might have been nicer when she broke up with him. Instead, furious that Cooper had not only been involved in a duel over her but for all the wrong reasons, Elly gave Cooper back his ring, told him in no uncertain terms they were through, and left Aurora Springs for Cadence City. Then, when her good friend and neighbor Bertha Newell mysteriously disappears in the catacombs, Elly reluctantly admits that she needs the services of a hunter like Cooper. Fortunately, Cooper just happens to be in town, and he offers to help find Bertha. What Elly doesn't know is that Cooper never considered their engagement to be officially terminated. Castle's new futuristic romance brilliantly blends exceptionally entertaining characters, witty prose, and a thrilling paranormal-tinged plot in a sublime novel of romantic suspense. John Charles

Futuristic romantic suspense! I love Jayne Castle's paranormal stories! Cooper Boone is one of the most powerful ghost hunters and he's all wrapped up in Guild business - maybe to the exclusion of his fiance, Elly. At least she thinks so, and so she calls off their engagement.
