I *LOVED* this book! Nora Roberts is the queen of trilogies, and BLOOD BROTHERS is the start of another winning romantic paranormal trilogy.

Cal, Fox, and Gage were only ten when they unleashed the demonic power trapped beneath the Pagan Stone. Every seven years, for seven days, a horrible and deadly power is unleashed in Hawkins Hollow. People commit horrible acts, and then can't remember doing any of it.

For these three men, it's been twenty-one years since whatever entity resided in that glade was let loose. Now, it's up to them to stop it before it's too late.

When Quinn comes to town, looking to research these strange events and turn them into a book, her presence seems to make the power of the three men even stronger -- but it also makes the "entity" stronger, as well. When Layla and Cybil are also drawn to Hawkins Hollow, the three men and three women band together to stop the horror that grips this town every seven years.

As I said, I really loved this book, and I can't wait for the next two books in the series. This is another winner, and fans of Ms. Roberts' THE KEY TRILOGY and the DANCE UPON THE... series will definitely enjoy THE SIGN OF SEVEN trilogy!

This is start of new trilogy. I bought on a Friday night and by Sunday am - read it all. This is a book of secrets- by the 3 main guys- by the town- by the 3 women involved. There are several scenes that made me shiver. She uses wonderful descriptions of the "encounters" to the point that you are there when the demon appears. Her men are real acting- not super heroes- but flesh and blood. The actions of everyone in the book draw you into their life. One of the mothers in the book is so real that you can identify with mothers you have known. And the father of Caleb is like so many real people I know.
I guess what I am saying- This is Roberts best book in a long time. You are actually there where this happens.
I am giving the book "10" stars. Only did that 1 time before.

This was my first Nora Roberts book and I LOVED it! I cannot wait until the next one comes out. It's about 3 kids who go out into the woods to camp out on the eve of their 10th birthday and unleash something evil. It is similar to Stephen King's "IT" in that they get together again and again into their adulthood to fight the evil that has taken hold of their quaint little town. It is mysterious, scary, romantic and so much more. I breezed right through it because it just had so much going on. The characters are great. Such a good book!

This book was a good read. I finished it in a day because I wasn't able to sleep because it scared me a bit! Otherwise, it was a good book with interesting characters. Pretty typical of Nora Robert's trilogies, it mixes the supernatural with the more mundane.

I don't normally like Nora Roberts book, but I loved this one an almost through with the second in the series. It is about 3 men, what happened when they were 10 that effects their lives and all those around them for the next 21 years.

Amazing! Another Nora Roberts classic that you will not want to put down.

Roberts creates characters that stick with you; like the Morrigan's Cross trilogy, I know I'm going to be brokenhearted when I get to the end.

A trio of friends (with a great many coincidences among each other), unleash a dark evil on their town during their tenth birthday. It brings the "Seven" - seven days, during the seventh month, every seven years - that the town goes a little crazy.

It's been 21 years...and with some help from new friends, they're ready to face up to their responsibiltiy, as a haunting past calls to them, and they hold to the hope of a beautiful future as their weapon.

I will definitely be reading the rest in the series if they are anything as rewarding as the first. With it's supernatural elements and hair raising events it isn't her usual style. I do have to say I was little disappointed in the ending it was not nearly as frightening as I had expected to be.

Not what I expected from Nora Roberts, but it was a very good book. At times I felt like I was reading a Stephen King or Dean Koontz book. I'm looking forward to starting Book 2 in the series.

this book grabbed me from the beginning. Kind of reminded me of Salem's Lot with the townspeople not seeing what was happening, but definitely a book worth reading!

I really liked this whole trilogy. While some of Nora's three part series can become repetitive, this was full of good action, a building climax, and great characters.

Hi everyone, I've read all three of these books and they were all very good. If you like a mix of; family, lovers, fighting demons and crazed people and animals, then this is definately a book for you. The three "blood brothers" who were born on the same day of the same year and at what they would guess would be the exact same time, are Gage, Cal and Fox. They live in a tiny town called Hawkins Hollow where every seven years on what they call "The Seven" people, animals and even their loved ones go crazy. I loved this book as well as the entire trilogy!

In the town of Hawkins Hollow. It's called the seven.

Every seven years, on the seventh day of the seventh month, stange things happen. it began when three young boys-Caleb, Fox and Gage-went on a camping trip to the Pagan Stone. And twenty-one years later, it will end in a showdown between evil and the boys who have become men-and the women who love them....

This is the first of a three book trilogy with Nora Roberts at her best. I can't wait to read the other two and yet I know when I've finished them all I will wish I hadn't read them so quickly.

Jennifer J. (Mystickjen) reviewed on 1/20/2009...

Nora Roberts follows her tried and true formula in the first book of The Seven Trilogy. The story in all wasn't too bad. However I was a little annoyed with the mistakes in the editing. Juneau, Alaska was misspelled, for example. The dialogue was enough to make me snort in disgust. The female characters had a fondness for not finishing their sentences. Argh! However, I will probably read the next two books as well. What can I say, I'm an addict.

Lynda C. (Readnmachine) reviewed on 1/3/2009...

Roberts melds her three-girls/three-guys romance trilogy format with an homage to Stephen King in this first of three novels about a clash between ancient evil and the force that bound it.

Melissa F. (mitabird) reviewed on 12/31/2008...

I really wanted to like Blood Brothers, but I didn't. I did not like Quinn at all. She was too perfect and very pushy. Caleb was like a cardboard cut-out character; there was no substance to him at all, IMO. The plot started off okay, but started to get a little ridiculous as the story progressed. I can say that I will not be reading the next two in this series.

Samantha T. reviewed on 10/9/2008...

I enjoy suspense novels with the added bit of romance, but I've noticed they all tend to follow the same script. Girl meets boy, are chased by bad guy, girl and boy end up in bed, and beat the bad guy in the end. But when you add in the supernatural, that's when things get interesting! If you love Dean Koontz as well as authors like Karen Robards and Sandra Brown, then you'll love this! I loved this first book in the trilogy and immediately went out and found the second book, "The Hollow" at the library. Can't wait for the final installment to be released!

This book was amazingly good. Nora Roberts has done it again....trapped me in a book and captured my attention though the whole read. But i must say some of the parts were kind of chilling but that could be because i was reading late at night. I could not put this down and i cannot wait for the next book to get to me!!

Every time Nora Roberts writes a trilogy, I promise myself that I won't read the first book until I have all three in my hand. I keep thinking a marathon read! But, I can't ever wait! Blood Brothers--Book 1 of the Sign of the Seven Trilogy, is FANTASTIC! Nora Roberts at her best.

Frances H. (Dimples2212) reviewed on 2/25/2008...

First in the "SIGN OF SEVEN" trilogy. Three buddies, born on the 7th day of the 7th month in the same year, on their tenth birthday, make a pledge in blood at the "pagan stone" in the woods. Henceforth, every 7 years, the town is thrown into extreme violence...murder and suicide rates skyrocket, arose and people killed in fires increases, marital violence escalates, etc. Convinced that they accidentally unleased a demon, the buddies reconnoiter 21 years later. They're older and wiser and 3 female friends have joined them. They are certain that this is the year that the demon must be destroyed...at all costs. I'm looking forward to the next book, THE HOLLOW, which is due out in May, 2008.
