Book Reviews of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

While this book is considered a classic against not only slavery, but the stupidity of humanity, I'm not certain it isn't overrated. That said, Mark Twain's insightful and well-placed barbs do provide amusement and a stinging critique of society post-Civil War. I also like it just because people have tried to ban it.

A must read! Everyone should experience this classic.

This would get kids hooked on reading..........it did me!

Honestly I just wanted to take a red pen to the whole book and correct the grammer used. Even though Mark Twain intentionaly wrote the book that way..still it bothered me. The ending was dissapointing. I expected to read more about Huck than going back to Toms childish ways.

I loved that we see this tale through the eyes of a young boy, complete with his speach style and outlook on the world. A good book that I would recomend to anyone interested in US history of the period, coming of age stories, or just adventure mixed with wit and humor.

A classic, what more can I say?

I'm in agreement with Michelle F. Read banned books! This is a classic that has been enjoyed by generations.

my book has a coffee stain on the first few pages but other than that perfect.
