I'm going to review the first four books of this series as a "set" since they contain a world story arc that carries through them and most readers will prefer to have all four on hand before starting the series. This is the third book in the Riley Jenson Guardian series, which are paranormal romances set in Melbourne, Australia. Arthur does an excellent job of balancing the paranormal and the romance elements of the story and, while the moon cycle sexual responses of the werewolves echo a bit of LKH's "ardeur", Arthur pulls it off much more smoothly. The paranormal elements are well thought out with a few nice twists to standard mythos. Characters are well drawn, though a bit unbelievably perfect at times. Each book does have a standalone plot with a satisfying conclusion, but as I mentioned, there is a "world arc" that carries through all four books.

the third book in the riley series. has romance, action, and suspense. all the books in the series have been great. you do need to read them in order because they play off each other with certain info in the storyline. i love that the main character is a women and she holds her own against the evil in the book. Third in the Riley Jenson Guardian Novel series.

In a world of sorcery and seduction, the nights bring out the beautiful, the damned, and the desired. Here, Riley Jenson is on her own -- half werewolf, half vampire, working for an organization created to police the supernatural races. Trusting her superiors and lovers barely more than she trusts her worst enemies, Riley plays by her own set of rules. Her latest mission: enter the heavily guarded pleasure palace of a criminal named Deshon Starr -- a madman-scientist who's been messing around in the gene pool for decades.

With two sexy men -- a cool, seductive vampire and an irresistibly hot wolf -- vying for her attention, Riley must keep focused. Because saving the world from Deshon Starr will mean saving herself -- from the trap that's closing in around her...

Riley's in for it now...entering a true prison of pleasure. The palace is guarded and has security rivals the White House. She actually volunteered for this mission and it is scary!! Might keep you up turning pages.

Another great read in the Riley Jenson series. Keri Arthur has found a way to keep each book original and exciting. Great story arc going through the series.

Riley's 3rd book. These just get better & better. This time she and Rhoan, Quinn, Kade, Jack, Kellan and all of her crew are going after Starr. Twists and turns abound along w/alot of steamy scenes. She really gets around. Can't wait for #4, Dangerous Games.

This is a fantasy novel with werewolves, vampires, and all the ghouls you could want. It is the third book in the Riley Jenson series. It is the first that I have read by this aurthor and series and I really enjoyed it. Riley Jenson is part of a organization that polices the supernatural races to protect humans. It is part romance but mostly kick tail kind of book. In this book, the organization is trying to bring down a mad scientist who has been messing around with gene pool and creating awful creatures and it is their job to stop him. A very good read.

A different spin on the whole vampire, werewolf genre. Not for the faint of heart this qualifies as mature subject matter. Still a great read. I am intreged by the characters and want to read the next book.

Really good - definitely not the ending I was expecting. Poor Riley - they're always after her. This time, though, she's not running or being abducted, but going straight into the lair of the bad guys.

I love this series. A lot of action. Sex is a big theme in these books but not a major one.
