This is one of the best in the Stephanie Plum series. (I've only read through 5 so far, though!) If you want a mystery that is laugh-out-loud funny, this series delivers. My husband asked to read them after hearing me laugh so often. Now HE'S hooked! (And that's saying a lot!)

I'm very happy that it took me so long to find Stephanie Plum. Now I can zoom through the next ten or so books since they've already been published! This one has the brash, rash Trenton, NJ bounty hunter tangling with undertakers and arms dealers with the help of Grandma Mazur and sexy Joe Morelli.

I love Stephanie! I think Lula, thr "Ho" turned file clerk who always wants to put a cap up someone's ass, is hilarious. I love the fact that you can almost taste the New Jersey smog. I love the daft granny! Sometimes books you can read in a day - just for a laugh are worth as much as pulitzer winners.

Another good one by Evanovich. I enjoy how she keeps you on your toes and the sexual tension between Stephanie Plum and Joe Morelli. I also like how she intertwines the books yet you can still read them stand alone if you like.

This is the 2nd in the series with Stephanie Plum, the inept bounty hunter, her two love interests - Joe and Ranger - and her eccentric family, including the infamous Grandma Mazur. Great reading and a surefire belly laugh in several places.

GREAT!!! I am very excited I started reading this series. Bk1 was great and this one was even better. It has suspense, a little flirtation thrown in and a crazy grandmother! You couldn't ask for more!
Very excited to read Bk3 in the series!

The first book thrilled me and I wondered if the story would be consistently entertaining through book Two. Well, doubt no more. It just keeps getting better. I am loving these characters. Grandma Mazur is a prize. Even more fun than the first.

Another great read in the Stephanie Plum series -- I laughed out loud again several times. This author has such a great way of describing the characters that I feel I can see right into the neighborhood where everything is happening. I carried this one around with me everywhere I went as I wanted to know what was happening with Stephanie every chance I got. It was like following a twitter! I read this one also in record time and am moving right on to #3!

Two for the Dough is book two of the Stephanie Plum series. Stephanie is a bounty hunter for her cousin Vinnie. She teams up with Joe Morelli, a local vice cop to bring in Kenny Mancuso. Kenny shot his friend Moogy Bues in the knee and had the poor luck to do it in front of an off duty cop. Stephanie thinks this will be an easy job. Unfortunately, things turn complicated rather quickly. Caskets are missing, body parts start turning up and the more Stephanie learns about Kenny the more she wants to stay as far away from him as possible.

Two for the Dough is a quick, easy read and Stephanie is a fun character to ride along with. This case has her working closely with Joe Morelli. Stephanie is still uncertain what her feelings towards Joe are. The reader can tell that Joe and Stephanie are starting to care about each other. She is still attracted to him, but doesn't want to get involved with him for fear of getting hurt. She basically avoids dealing with these feelings and focuses on her job.

Stephanie is still new to the bounty hunter world and continually makes mistakes, but she is the type to learn from them. There are plenty of high-jinks and silly antics to keep the pages turning. Stephanie's jeep gets stolen and her Granny gives her a 1950s something Buick that is practically a character all on its own. Stephanie's Granny plays a significant role in this book as well and she sure is a hoot. Readers will either love her or hate her. I happened to love it.

Stephanie Plum is at it again, trying to do her job as a bounty hunter and getting in over her head in typical Plum fashion. She has to depend on Ranger [her bounty-hunter hunk co-worker] and her friend, cop Joe Morelli, to help her catch her man. Throw in her off-the-wall Grandma Mazur and a mixture of other hilarious characters and you've got a book that will keep you laughing while you read to see how she catches her man this time. This is a great series, read all of them!!

I didn't like this book as much as I liked the first one. I'm not sure why. It was funny, but the story didn't really grab me this time. I like Stephanie Plum and her crazy family, especially the hilarious Grandma Mazur, who was, without a doubt, the star in this book. A quick, entertaining read, quirky characters, I look forward to reading the rest of this Stephanie Plum series!

Solid little mystery novel. If anything, it's funnier than the first in the series, what with Grandma Mazur becoming a more important character. A nice way to while away an evening or two.

Keep goin' - this is the second of the Stephanie Plum series, and it is just as funny, if not funnier, than the first. A young woman tries tries her hand at being a bounty hunter, and gets the job done, though not in traditional "Dawg the Bounty Hunter" ways - and with a family to rival any we might have. Two handsome suiters vie for her attention, while she is just trying to make a living bringing the strangest of characters to justice. I loved it! It isn't a deep-thinker, but I read it when my daughter was in the hospital and I really needed a laugh.

Just finished reading this.

I thought that this book was better and funnier than One for the Money. After reading the first book, I was not sure I wanted to continue. Sure, the book was a quick, undemanding read, but I wasn't sure that was enough to engage me for a long series. Now I'm hooked!

While still completely inept as a bounty-hunter, Stephanie is getting better. Cop (and childhood fondler) Joe Morelli is back, as is Ranger (although his involvement is much less in this book than the first). Lula the hooker is back, this time as a filing-clerk, turned "assistant bounty-hunter", and her brief scene is quite hilarious. Stephanie's batty Grandma Mazur is more involved in this story too, and that's a great thing. All in all, we're getting to know the characters much better, and that's a really good thing in a series.

There is some quite graphic violence described, and just like the first book, Stephanie is dealing with a dangerous psychopath. But even the violence has its funny side. Like a hilarious scene with a severed finger; two pages with the phrase "give the finger" sprinkled liberally throughout, and you're just waiting for that snappy one-liner, but it doesn't come - and I think that was both quite deliberate, and quite laudable!

I'm looking forward to Three to Get Deadly

If you haven't read any of the Stephanie Plum novels - what have you been waiting for? She is one of the funniest, most appealing heroines to walk the mean streets in a long while. In this book Stephanie is on the trail of crazy Kenny Mancuso, aided by her tough bounty hunting pal, Ranger and her funeral hopping Grandma Mazur and knee deep in corpses.

"Two for the Dough" is book two in the Stephanie Plum series, and the sheen has not yet worn off the adventures of the world's luckiest inept bounty hunter.

Stephanie has the uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time and still have everything go wrong. The simplest assignments turn into life threatening situations when she's around and when paired with her pistol packing Grandma, it's mayhem.

She is suppose to track down Kenny Mancuso, who happens to be related to Joe Morelli, her love/hate acquaintance since childhood. Kenny has allegedly shot his pal Moogey in the kneecap, and failed to appear in court, so it's up to the bounty hunter to get her man before cousin Vinnie pulls the case.

Of course, nothing is as simple as it seems, and soon she's coffin hunting, visiting funeral parlors and just to make life interesting, body parts keep turning up in inconvenient and unexpected places.

This is her most dangerous case to date and this time Grandma Mazur's life is also in danger. It's up to Stephanie to track down a psychotic killer before he gets to her.

Funny and fast moving, this one is a quick, enjoyable read.

Stephanie Plum is back, packing a whole lot of attitude, not to mention stun guns, defense sprays, killer flashlights and a .38 Smith & Wesson--on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, who's just shot his best friend. Mancuso's fresh out of the army and suspicisously wealthy. Then there's Joe Morelli, a vice cop that keeps getting involved in Stephanie's investigations.

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum debuted in Janet Evanovich's award-winning One For The Money. Here, she's back, packing a whole lot of attitude...not to mention stun guns, defense sprays, and a .38 Smith and Wesson. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend.Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations. Aided by her tough bounty hunter pal, Ranger, and her funeral-happy Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's soon staggering knee-deep in corpses, trying to shake Morelli and stirring up a very nasty enemy. FUNNY!!!

Stephanie's new case was supposed to be simple. Kenny Mancuso had shot his friend, not fatally, and then skipped out on his bond. Should be real simple, right? Of course, first she has to find Kenny. Then his friend is murdered. Trying to track down any leads, she joins Grandma Mazur at a funeral home run by Spiro, another of Kenny's childhood friends. But Spiro has a case of his own. 24 caskets have been stolen, and he wants Stephanie to hunt them down. Is there a connection? With Ranger to advise and Joe Morelli to shadow, will Stephanie put all the pieces in place and catch Kenny before he turns on her?

A bounty hunter packing a whole lot of attitude, a stun gun, defense spray and a .38 Smith & Wesson, none of which she seems to use very often, even when she should. There is a love/hate relationship with Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations. Great fun read!!!

Oh my! Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is at it again. This was another wacky and wild ride through the burbs of Trenton as Steph tries to find a killer, crack a case, and keep herself alive in the process.

Her delicious pair of hotties, Ranger and Morelli, make an appearance, along with the hilarious Grandma Mazur and ex-prostitute Lula.

Don't miss this book!

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice copy with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations. Aided by her tough bounty hunter pal, Ranger, and her funeral-happy Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's soon staggering knee-deep in corpses, trying to shake Morelli...and stirring up a very nasty enemy.

Loved it! I received books 1-6 (I think) for Christmas, so have no need to hold onto Two For the Dough any longer.

This is the book where Grandma Mazur comes to the forefront, where she and Stephanie Plum go around to different funerals. Some reviews I've read didn't like bringing Grandma into the main cast of characters, but I didn't mind it at all; she's cranky and funny. Stephanie is as funny and confused as ever!

Another good and funny one. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. I'm hoping Stephanie will hook up with Joe Morelli soon, and according to the Plumography at the back of book 1, I think this happens around book 4, or maybe that's when he asks Stephanie to marry him. In any case, though I wouldn't consider this a romance, I like the little element of romance that is there, the burgeoning relationship between Stephanie and Joe.

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum debuted in Janet Evanovich's award-winning One For The Money. Now she's back, packing a whole lot of attitude -- not to mention stun guns, defense sprays, killer flashlights, and a .38 Smith & Wesson - on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, who has just shot his best friend. Mancuso's fresh out of the army and suspiciously wealthy. He's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with ethics that lean toward the gray zone, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.

Aided by her tough bounty hunter pal, Ranger, and her funeral-happy Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's soon staggering knee-deep in corpses and caskets, trying to shake Morelli...and stirring up a very nasty enemy....

If you haven't discovered Stephanie Plum yet, it's not too late! Definitely the most humorous detective series you'll ever read!

Stephanie is back and I think I am falling in love with her. I think I will stay away though because her grandmother sounds like an accident waiting to happen. And besides that, Stephanie is an accident that has happened! This book and series is hilarious.

Stephanie is after a new bail jumper, Kenny Mancuso, a boy from Trenton's burg. He's fresh out of the army, suspiciously wealthy, and he's just shot his best friend. With her bounty hunter pal Ranger stepping in occasionally to advise her, Stephanie staggers knee-deep in corpses and caskets as she traipses through back streets, dark alleys, and funeral parlors. And nobody knows funeral parlors better than Stephanie's irrepressible Grandma Mazur, a lady whose favorite pastime is grabbing a front-row seat at a neighborhood wake. So Stephanie uses Grandma as a cover to follow leads, but loses control when Grandma warms to the action, packing a cool pistol. Much to the family's chagrin, Stephanie and Granny may soon have the elusive Kenny in their sights. Low on expertise but learning fast, high on resilience, and despite the help she gets from friends and relatives, Stephanie eventually must face the danger alone when embalmed body parts begin to arrive on her doorstep and she's targeted for a nasty death by the most loathsome adversary she's ever encountered. Another case like this and she'll be a real pro.
