nice story but you really should read the books of the series in order so you can know the background of the characters from the start.

I highly recommend this book. It has the appeal of a Scottish highlander romance, with the modern conveniences of a contemporary. A win win combination with an exciting (albeit, predictably ansty) ending. A real keeper!

This is the third in the Highlander series and they just keep getting better. I have said this in reviews of the previous two books, but I laughed out loud and cried at times with this book. There is a great storyline with just enough fantasy and magic that it is very entertaining. Janet Chapman has a way of developing these amazing characters that I find I wish I could meet them. I also find myself wanting to visit Maine, which is the setting for all the Highlander books.
You will not be disappointed when you read this series. I just keep coming back for more.

Second in the highlander quadrology? (4 in a series). Michael's story. I didn't like him very much in the first book, but that's all changed!!!

Delightful Enjoying this series by Chapman. Found that I don't have to read them in order to keep characters straight.

Great book! A continuation of her other highlander books with time-travel and lots of action and love.
I just finished this whole series of 5 books in 7 days and I have to say that this is one of the best series I have ever read. The last book had me crying during the last 35 pages. Don't miss this series!

Talented surgeon Libby Hart is fleeing to Pine Creek, Maine, when her car spins out of control and crashes into a pond. She is rescued by Michael MacBain, a medieval highlander trapped in the modern world by a wizard's spell. Wounded in love once before by a modern woman, Michael wants nothing to do with Libby, but he can't resist the intense desire she stirs within him. Can this proud warrior pledge his heart to a woman whose secret threatens to change their lives forever?

One of four in a set. Very good reading. I love the way that they incorperate the entire family in the books.
