Better than the Da Vinci Code (which I loved too!)

Better than the Da Vinci Code, Actually the best of Brown's 4 books. Hard to put down.

There is nothing I like better than a book that lives up to hype and expectations. This was was definitely a page turner! The story is so well-written that in my rush to devour it and find out what happens next, I barely even noticed the few things that annoyed me (like when characters don't notice obvious clues) as I usually do while reading a book. A great read!

I personally didn't like this one as much as I liked Davinci's code. I felt like it wasn't as well written, but that's just my opinion.

What a captivating storyline! If you liked the Da Vinci Code, you'll love this book too. Robert Langdon outdoes himself again while going from Switzerland, Rome and the Vatican. Twists and turns everywhere! Worth reading!

This is a sequel to The Da Vince Code, and involves murder, faith and international intregue. Although this is not normally "my kind of book," I did enjoy it very much.

A very good read, not up to the best seller but very good, great for the nightstand.

Having read, Da Vinci Code, before this, you can tell that Angels and Demons is his freshman work. It is good, but Da Vinci Code is a a lot better.

Pretty predictable formula, but I actually enjoyed this more than The DaVinci Code.

Brown's a formulaic writer with painfully predictable books, but he tells an entertaining tale that moves quickly and keeps your interest. I'm not a big fan, but this book was a fun read.

One of the best books I've read in a long time. I couldn't put it down. Totally surprised by the ending!

This was an excellent read. Quite a page turner, full of everything you'd want... mystery, intrigue, and adventure. I'm looking forward to reading more of Brown's books.

I actually read this one after The DaVinci Code, thinking there was no way Brown could top that one. Boy was I wrong. This one is just as enthralling, and easier to follow because there aren't so many historical references and French phrases to figure out. This is a good, solid read, though reading too many of Brown's works can bring out the cynicism in you.

If you like Dan Brown that is a plus when reading this book, because he writes the same as in the 'The DaVinci Code', I felt like I was reading the 'The DaVinci Code' all over again except it had different characters and the plot was different, the tone, the ambience all the same, not much different, just a copycat version but the names have been changed. Wish they could have found someone else besides Mr. Hanks to be the main character in both movies. He doesn't fit the character. They needed someone younger, as much as I find Hanks a good actor, this is one time he's not.

It is quick, easy reading - a real page turner. The story is very fast paced. If you liked The Da Vinci Code, you will also like Angels and Demons - very similar.

A really fun read. There were so many twists and turns I had trouble putting it down. There were a lot of interesting facts and details but the action and suspense was what had me tearing through the pages.

LOVE IT! I liked this one even more than The DaVinci Code! This book is a little more fast paced, more murder, and still has a great mystery! I loved the geography and history aspects too! This book defintely makes you think a little bit more about Creationism, Christianity, Catholicism, and how science fits in. Very interesting. One warning, the first probably 40 pages or so are very scientific, and for me were hard to get through. If you decide to read this book and find you are having the same problem... stick to it! It WILL pick up!

Angels & Demons is a fast read with a really compelling story and some interesting factual information in it. It's written at a pretty low level, but is fun and interesting nevertheless. This book doesn't disappoint!

I really enjoyed the fast pace of this book. The plot twists kept me up late reading before bed. If you read "The Davinci Code" the format of this book is predictable.

very good! couldn't put it down....

This was a very long book! I enjoyed reading it when I first started but then I got bogged down in all the stuff that was happening in the story. I really enjoyed "The DaVinci Code" much more. It was a fast read but this book, even with tghe short chapters (the longest chapter was 9 pages), seemed to drag on forever. It's a very intriguing concept and the action was non stop but about half way through I wanted it to end. Those who like suspense and a good mystery would like this book very much.

Loved this book. It was a great follow up to Davinci Code. Dan Brown really is an entertaining writer!

Similar to The DaVinci Code but not as good. This one is the first book with Robert Langdon in it, but it doesn't matter if you read them out of sequence. I liked all the thrills and action, but DC is still way better.

This is a breathless, real-time adventure involving a anient secret brotherhood. You will have a very hard tie putting it down. A must read.

Linda P. (goddesslovingbookworm) - Garland, TX reviewed on 11/25/2007...

Precursor to The DaVinci Code, although both are stand-alone stories. Fast moving suspense with beautiful, descriptive passages of European architecture thrown in. It will be interesting to see this translated to the movie screen.
