This is one of the most inspirational stories ever written. While reading it, the story of your life will begin to play inside your mind. It makes you think about your relationships with every person you know, your triumphs and your regrets. The beauty of the story is that you realize that you have time to make it better, if you really take this story to heart, you will be a better person, and it will completely change your outlook on life.

This is the only book that I read every few years and have kept in my permanent library. It is a great reminder of what is important in life and when I am down, it continues to remind me how lucky I am to have my health and that people around me that I care about are healthy as well. It has important life lessons and I have given this book as a gift to many people over the years. It puts a very personal look on disease. The cover of the book describes the story best "an old man, a young man, and life's greatest lesson."

EXCELLENT!!! I read it all in one day, and lent it out to two more people. I love this author, and this story.

I would have to say out of all the books I have read this one was truly touching.....I read it in 1 day because once I started I could not put it down. I reccomend this book to everyone.

I feel bad but I didn't really like this book that much. It was a good idea but basically there are no new or profound insights into death and dying in here.

* * * * Thought-provoking, and heartbreaking. Enlightening and moving.

An old professor stricken with ALS, and weakening each day, emparts to his former student his thoughts about life and about dying. Keep the tissues handy.

I couldn't even finish this book.
Just couldn't get into it.
I found what I'd read to be too "stereotypical," so I just let it go.

I don't usually give books a five star rating but I made an exception with this one. This book is not just about dying but about living and loving as well. And while, yes, I was in tears at the end, there were just as many 'good' feelings as 'bad' throughout the book. I really took to heart the lesson that we all need to rely on each other throughout our lives. Not just at the beginning and the end. And, it is never too late to become the person you always wished you were.

Heartbreaking. Uplifting. Wonder-full and wonderful.

A great read about a young man (Mitch) who visits his former professor, Morrie, who teaches Mitch how to live, even as Morrie is dying.

This book will make you sad and happy at the same time and may inspire you to get in touch with that one person, teacher or otherwise, who made an impact on your life.

A very heartwarming book. Not real exciting, but it does lead you through the final days of Morrie's life. The author gains insight into his own life and sees life from a different perspective. If you begin to read this book be sure you finish it. Half way through I was tempted to put it down, but I continued and I'm glad I did. Not the most exciting book in the world to read, but well worth your time

This book was such a good read. I hope that somewhere in heaven, Morrie is smiling at all the people reading his story - and learning a few things about life in the process. :o)

I read this book for a school assignment. It was wonderful. It is not about death it is about living. I highly recommend it.

This was excellent, but very sad to read. I read it on an airplane and that was a bad idea because I was sobbing like a baby and had to go to a meeting when I landed with red puffy eyes. Very touching story. I think stories like this are good for the soul and I would recommend this book to any friend, but please do not read in public - LOL

I liked this book, but did not love it. A man spend Tuesdays with an ex professor, who has ALS, and writes about what this disease does to this incredible man. It's a book that will tug at your heart and make you cry, but I got bored with it at times.

I had been wanting to read this book for a long time, and finally got around to it. It was wonderful...everything that I expected of it! It really is the story of life's greatest lessons!

Well, it is a good book, I got a little bored with it at times, but managed to finish it. It was made into a movie, afterall.

I originally ordered this book to get ideas for a memorial service I had been planning for the retirement community that I work for. While reading this...I not only thought of ideas to include in the service, but was really able to apply some ideas to my own life. This book really makes you think. It's not a book that you can just fly right through. After each chapter, you almost want to sit back and think about what everything meant throughout the last chapter. It's definitely worth reading.

My favorite book of all time--life's lessons learned between a teacher and his student reunited later in life. It was made into a tv movie but it is worth a read.

EASY READ. SHORT. GREAT TRUE STORY OF A COLLEGE AGED MAN WHO SPENDS TIME WITH HIS BELOVED PROFFESSOR WHO TELLS OF THE GREATEST LIFE LESSONS HE LEARNED. NOT A CHEESY BOOK THAT HAS BEEN DONE OVER AND OVER ABOUT "LIFE LESSONS" AT AN OLD AGE GIVES GREAT INSIGHT INTO THE MAN

A beautiful, intimate story of the final weeks in the life of an endearing college professor. It is told by his student who returns to see him 16 years after graduation when he learns his teacher is dying. I found it very touching, full of profound yet simple ideas. I would recommend it to anyone.

An amazing look at dying by a person who has Lou Gerig's disease as told to a favorite former pupil. You will laugh and cry and be better for reading this book

This book reminded me so much of my own experience saying goodbye to my much beloved grandfather, who died of cancer. A truly warm, funny and moving book. A must read!

Karen T. (luvs-chicago) reviewed on 2/23/2006...

I thought this was a sweet, quick read. However, I don't think it stood up to all the hype that it had received about being a life-changing book. Nice story, nice people...but easily forgotten.

Hmm, reading the 'similar books'.. The DaVinci Code.. interesting..I don't see a connection.
I like this story. Quick read.
One I think is better "Winona's Web" Hoka hey!

Everyone raves about this book but I hated it. I can sum up the book in 5 words -- live like you were dying.

One of the absolute best books I've ever read! I read it in a single day and couldn't put it down. Easy reading and quick... but so deep it will leave you with an entirely different view on life.

It's a book about an old man and a young man and life's greatest lesson... as he meets every Tuesday with Morrie.. a former college professor to learn the real meaning of life.

Dawn S. (RangerXenos) reviewed on 9/13/2005...

A very moving book, Tuesdays With Morrie really makes you think about your life as you read it.

This book changed my life!

"An elegantly simple story about a writer getting a second chance to discover life through the death of a friend." - Tampa Tribune

Tuesdays with Morrie is excellent!
