This is book six in the Cedar Cover series. This book was as exceptional as the previous books. This is a must read series. Books in order are: '16 Lighthouse Road', '204 Rosewood Lane', '311 Pelican Court',
'44 Cranberry Point', '50 Harbor Street' & '6 Rainier Drive'.

Good book. The only one of the series I've read. It has a lot of sub-plots and characters to keep up with for a "quick read". Nice, mild romance scenes.

This is the sixth in the series set in the fictional town of Cedar Cove. The characters all intertwine, as in real-life small towns. I got pulled in during the first book and have continued through because I feel I know these people and I must keep reading to find out what happens in their lives. Never read Debbie Macomber before this but find her very readable.

a very good read, you feel as if you are coming back to old friends when you sit down with a Cedar Cove book.
****SPOILER****
I kept finding myself getting frustrated with with Justine and her attitude/behavior. I felt bad for her husband because she would always seem to lash out when she was upset with him by spending time with her ex. And Cal just so quickly fell out of love with Linette for Vicki in a matter of what seemd like a day. I thought Cal was a likeable guy from the previous books, but he turned out to be a real a** in this one. I enjoyed the banter between Terri and Bobby, I found myself looking forward to their scenes. Rachel and Nate were okay, but Nate seemed a little dense at times when it came to how his mother behaved toward his girlfriend. And his jealously of the time Rachel spends with a child also seemed a tad childish.

Another great believable suspense/romance story! I'm off to #7 in the series and I can't wait!
One of the best books I have ever read. I couldn't put it down.
Dear Reader, As you may have heard, we've recently had quite a shock. My husband, Seth, and I lost our business, The Lighthouse restaurant-to arson. The investigation continues. The prime suspect is a young ex-employee named Anson Butler, who disappeared right after the fire.
So Seth and I are trying to sort out our lives. (And let me tell you, this kind of crisis is not good for a marriage.) In the meantime, life goes on for everyone else in Cedar Cove-with marraiges, births, reunions and even the occasional scandal. One of the most interesting pieces of news is that Cal, who works on Cliff Harding's ranch, is now rescuing wild mustangs from Wyoming.
I have to run-I'm meeting an old friend, Warren Saget, for lunch. Let's talk soon, and I'll fill you in on everything that's happening in town!

The sixth installment of Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series. The book was an enjoyable read but I did not enjoy this one as much as the earlier books in the series. I would have liked a bit more closure on the stories in this book. The story lines were left hanging with a note to "come back to Cedar Cove in September 2007!" and then a sales pitch for the next book.
I love this continuing story.

Cedar Cove has been a busy place since Macomber's last installment, 50 Harbor Street (2005). Justine and Seth's restaurant has burned down, thanks to arsonists, and their marriage is threatened. Young Allison's boyfriend, Anson, is a person of interest in the arson case and runs away. Allison is the only one who believes he did not set the fire, but his continued absence damns him in the eyes of the town. These old friends, as well as the rest of the familiar population of Cedar Cove, have new stories to tell. There's hair-stylist Teri's most recent love interest, for example, chess-champion Bobby Polgar. Though she has no knowledge of or interest in chess, once she sees him on TV, she gives in to a sudden urge to cut his hair. Teri has no idea how her life is going to change.

As with the previous 5 books in Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove Series, 6 Ranier Drive was like sitting down and gossiping with old friends. Ms. Macomber has stayed true to the flavor of the series by resolving problems from the previous book while setting up new scenerios for future books. In 6 Ranier Drive, Justine and Seth's marriage becomes troubled over the restaurant burning; Anson Butler and Allison Cox's relationship is threatened by Anson's past; Teri Miller becomes involved with a celebrity; Cal Washburn finds a cure for his speech defect, but has romantic difficulties, and Jon and Maryellen have their baby after a complicated pregnancy. I hate to say that Cedar Cove is like a soap opera on paper, but don't quite know how else to describe the series. I think the major difference between your daytime soaps and Cedar Cove is the rather excellent writing talent that Ms. Macomber brings to the table. After the first two books in the series (read them in order), you can't help but become so involved with the characters! 6 Ranier Drive was a worthy addition to the series and I will look forward eagerly to 74 Seaside Avenue in September of 2007.
I enjoyed visiting with my friends in Cedar Cove again. I am glad the person that set time to Justine and Seth's resturant has been caught, really surprised at who did it. Glad to hear Jon has forgiving his dad. I will visit again in September 2007, can't wait.

Debbie Macomber continues her warmhearted tour of Cedar Cove, Washington, with this sixth installment in her bestselling series. This one focuses on Seth and Justine Gunderson, whose business, the Lighthouse restaurant, was destroyed by arson. While young runaway Anson Butler is the prime suspect, his stalwart girlfriend, Allison Cox, doesn't believe it for a moment. Meanwhile, the fire has caused a rift in the Gunderson marriage, and Warren Sager, who never stopped loving Justine, is all too willing to offer a shoulder to cry on.
But solving the mystery of who started the fire is hardly the only plotline. There are new developments in the romance between Linnette McAfee and Cal Washburn, big changes in the lives of Jon and Maryellen Bowman, and an unexpected, whirlwind romance between hair stylist Teri Miller and a chess superstar. Rainier Drive is packed with the updates Macomber's many fans expect to get. For new readers, a cast of the key Cedar Cove residents will make them feel at home quickly. Good book!
