What can I say...She has done it again. I have only the highest praise for Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove Series. They seem to only get better with each one she writes. This one is my favorite so far.
There is so much going on; it's like comeing back to your home town and catching up on all of your friends and relatives: people you have grown to know and love over the years. It's irresistible, addictive, and enduring. There's good natured gossip but through hardships and trials these friends come through for each other in the most amazing and heart warming ways.
I wish she'd write more than one a year! I can't wait for "8 Sandpiper Way" and "90 Pacific Boulevard"!!!!

I love these books and the continuation of the families. As all of them, this does not disappoint.

Wonderful book! This is the 7th book in the Cedar Cover series. All are fabulous books about the people of this little town set in Washington State. Each book can stand alone but in each book there is a whole slew of characters from past books. Visit Ms. Macomber's web site for a complete list of books.

Every book I read in this series makes me feel like I live in that town and those are people I know. Can't get enough.

As always, Debbie Macomber makes you part of the Cedar Cove family. It is an excellent book. It tells the stories of the how lives in Cedal Cove intertwine, the love, the sharing, the outreach and putpourinf of care and love to all. I cannot wait until September when she writes another. I am collecting all of er Cedar Cove books since they teach a leeson in humility and love and bear reading ove rand over again.

Another dip into familiar Cedar Cove, where as usually we have a number of story lines about the individuals who have inhabited this town - and our imaginations - for many years now. I found the key storyline in this one difficult to believe and didn't care much about following it, but the other stories kept my interest and made it an interesting, quick read.

Good book, it had been a while since I had read the other books in the series and it took a little while to get back into the story, but once I did it was a fast read. I look forward to the next book.

This is a must read if you have started the series. Make sure you read the other books in the series first or it may not make any sense. I can't wait for the next book to come out in Sept. 2008.

From the back cover:

Dear Reader,
I'm living a life I couldn't even have dreamed of a few years ago. I'm married to Bobby Polgar now (you know, the famous chess champion who just happen to be the man I love!). And we've got this beautiful house with a view of Puget Sound.

Lately somthing's been worrying Bobyy, though. When I asked he said he was "protecting his queen"-and I got the oddest feeling he wasn't talking about chess but about me. He wouldn't say anything else.

Do you remember Get Nailed, the beauty salon in Cedar Cove? I still work there. I'll tell you about my friend, Rachel, who's got two men interested in her (count 'em, two). And I'll let you in on what I've heard about Linnette McAfee, who left town when her love life fell apart. (That kind of trouble I know all about.) Come in soon for a manicure and a chat, okay?

Another Cedar Cove story, just as great as all the others! This one about Bobby Polgar (you know, the famous chess champion) and Teri Miller the stylist at Get Nailed beauty salon, her friend Rachel and Linnette McAfee, who left town when her love life fell apart.

If you love books that have a folksy, down home, what's happening in the neighborhood kind of feeling, then you'll love this series, including the newest addition - #7.

Honestly, Mrs. Macomber writes just as if you were sitting there sharing a coffee and she was filling you in on all the happenings in Cedar Cove.

I don't know how she creates the intimacy she does, but honestly, you feel like one of the locals just catching up on the news.

And there's a lot of good news. The local hairdresser, on her own too long, unintentionally snags the wealthy successful International chess champion, and the sweet girl-next-door finally gives up on Cedar Cove and its men and heads back to the city, leaving her family still on the island. The turns and twists that these girls experience and all the other convolutions that occur in Cedar Cove are shared in such a comfortable, easy way that you feel like you're sitting in the beauty shop hearing it all face to face.
Mrs. Macomber does a great job as usual on this entertaining book!
