Shauna P. (This is probably the only book I have ever read that I thought the movie was better... Don't get me wrong the book is good... the entire story goes in a different time line than the movie. So if you haven't seen the movie yet... don't until you read the book. It seemed that the emotion was stronger in the movie than in the book with more detail of the character's backgrounds etc. The book doesn't really show you the love that they shared before he repaired the old house, it actually starts after that point.
