No angst. No self-hatred. No whiny, pitiful excuses. No diving into the cesspool of character despair and agony.
Lindskold tells her story forthrightly and keeps her characters moving forward. They are not shallow because they aren't in constant emotional agony, like some other series by other authors. This is a story about people who DO things and who are looking to the future, not some imagined tortured past.
Very Good! Looking forward to the rest of the series...
