I did not read "If She Only Knew" by this author, which was a prequel to this book. But it is interesting on its own. Seems rather predictable for the first half, then everything turns questionable, then unexpected. Good read.

This book was by far the best book I've read in a while. This book will keep yopu guessing until the end. This book revisits the Cahill family from Ms. Jackosn's 'If She Only Knew'. I have not read 'If She Only Knew' and did not have any difficulties following this book.

Strange things have been happening to Cissy Cahill ever since her mother Marla (from Jackson's "If She Only Knew") escaped from prison. Three people have been murdered and now Cissy fears for the lives of those she cares about most, including estranged husband Jack and son B.J. As always, Jackson weaves a mysterious web with several red herrings throw in to keep you guessing til the end.

This is a great book! I really enjoy her books. You should read IF SHE ONLY KNEW before reading this one though! ShereeR.

This is the second worst book I have ever read in my entire life. The writing was so bad I had to shake my head in wonder every few pages, so surprised that a supposedly bestselling author could have so little talent. The mystery was slightly interesting but it was so dragged out that you just wanted the story to be over. I can honestly say this is some of the worst writing I have ever read outside of really bad harlequin romance novels. If you like that kind of book, you may like this, but I can't imagine how anyone can tolerate Lisa Jackson's syrupy and purple prose. It's so bad it's laughable. I think I should become a writer now because if this is bestselling fiction, I will probably be able to make millions writing crap like this.

WOW!!!!!!!! Lisa Jackson has done it again. One of the best that I have read of hers. It keeps you guessing, on who really is behind all the killing in Cissy's family. A must read.

Lately Cissy Cahill has been asking herself if life could get any worse. While in the middle of divorcing her husband, her psycho mom escapes from prison. Just when Cissy thinks nothing else could possibly go wrong, she finds the body of her grandmother, dead from what looks like a fall down the stairs. When more members of her family are murdered, the Police are sure it is Marla Cahill, her mother. Even though she knows her mother is crazy, Cissy can't believe that she could murder members of her own family.
Jack Holt will do anything to get Cissy back in his life. When her mother escapes and her grandmother turns up dead, Jack insists on moving back home to protect Cissy and their 18 month old son, BJ. In between fighting over what went wrong and protecting the family he loves, Jack tries to convince Cissy that she made a terrible mistake in giving up on their marriage.
This is a great addition to my Lisa Jackson collection. While the mystery is strong in this book, Jackson has gone back toward her romance roots. Romance suspense fans should be happy with this latest Jackson release.

After reading this book, I found out that it was a sequel to a previous book, "If She Only Knew." This book did fine as a stand alone though. We learn that the main character, Cissy's mother is (or was) serving time in prison for murder and was crazy. This book picks up 10 years later after her mother has just escaped from prison.
The murders soon begin piling up and the clues could lead anywhere. The book moves quickly and at times is reminiscent of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. It was full of surprises, twists and turns. All in all, a good, fast read.

Another great Lisa Jackson. The prequel to this one is If She Only Knew. Both are great.
Not one of my favorite books by Lisa Jackson. I couldn't really get into it and you know who the killer is from the beginning so your really just reading to see how they go about captureing the killer and how it ends.

This starts out very slow, introduces too many characters and tries to fake you into everyone being a potential killer. To me it is predictable, I don't want to give the end away but if you are an avid mystery reader you will see it a mile away, I haven't read too much by this author but if they are all written this way I am not too interested. Not a horrible read, but certainly not a page by page thriller.

Cissy Cahill's family is being murdered, one by one. Lisa Jackson strings out an intriguing plot, giving you a little clue every now and then that makes you think you know what is "really" going on. More twists than a pretzel...you will enjoy this book. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I really enjoyed this book . . . wasn't sure at first because it seemed too "soft." But I found myself wondering about the mysteries that the author wove in her writing and kept reading to find out more. Fairly fast read, and very entertaining!

A WOMAN WHO WANTS TO GET EVEN .
The first victim is pushed to her death. The second suffers a fatal overdose. The third takes a bullet to the heart. Three down, more to go. They're people who deserve to die. People who are in the way. And when she's finished, there will be no one left.
WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES FOR REVENGE.
Cissy Cahill's world is unraveling fast. One by one, members of her family are dying. Cissy's certain she's being watched. Or is she losing her mind? Lately she's heard footsteps when there's no one around, smelled a woman's perfume, and noticed small, personal items missing from her house. Cissy's right to be afraid--but not for the reason she thinks. The truth is much more terrifying.
