I bought this book because I wanted to make a HOOKED RUG... and I did! It was 2-1/2' x 4' and was originally planned for the den... but I ended up so happy with it that it went into the entryway by the front door! With four small kids, I couldn't work on it as much as I wanted, but eventually it was finished. I really couldn't believe it had made that big, heavy, beautiful thing! Everybody loved it and wanted me to make them one!
Forget that! I wanted to make a braided rug for my kitchen in front of the sink! So I bought braiding cones and all the double-knit remenants at my fabric stores and away I went! You rug-braiders know what happened next! But I had fun with my bright kitchen mat in front of the sink that I could just toss into the washer when needed!
Oh, the pages and pages of needlepoint stitches! I just had to make a sampler with my favorite saying in the softest of wonderful wool... and then the moths found it one year, hanging on the wall... I sure wish I had put it under glass!
I loved the way the book describes each tiny step in quilting, so that when I made my first wall-hanging (for the church craft sale), I felt confident that I could do it! And I did!
Now it's time to let someone else enjoy all the wonderful crafts in this book... from Applique to Macrame... and all between!
