I am a big fan of the Williamson Little Hands series of books. This one has a nature study idea for every day of the year. Fun!
***Note to Christians*** Some of the ideas are from an evolutionary worldview but are easy to adapt to a Biblical creation worldview.

Four star book.
A Williamson Kids Can! book. Good stuff!
Country or city-scape; north, east, south or west--kids of all ages will be enchanted with these day-to-day nature experiences. This book has daily activities ranging from catching fireflies, preparing a butterfly garden, to creating a cloud in your kitchen, hatching a bunch of amphibian eggs, and making a snow gauge. Also has special focus activities on meteor showers, wind chill factor, measuring trees, games to play in the snow, keeping a diary of a single tree. Also includes weeklong themes such as Star Light, Moon Bright; April Showers; Bugs Don't Bug Me; Cloud Cover; Winter Wonderland; Harvest Home; and September Sightings. Ages 2-10
