Had not read this author before so I was pleasantly surprised to discover her sharp wit. The story was entertaining and the characters multi-layered and interesting. The only problem that I had with the story was the cutting instead of biting by the vamps. I know that sounds crazy and I know there are other stories that this happens in but I don't think of it as their "main" access to blood. It reminded me of a teenager that I know with a cutting fetish...sorry but it did. As I said this was the first book I have read by this author but as she made me laugh out loud several times I will be on the look out for another. Milagro is one cool chica.

This is one of my favoite series in the paranormal universe. I love this author. It's a unique take on vampires and I love the free spirtied snarky lead. It keeps getting better. I can't wait for the next book!
