Lisa W. (This classic is a joy to read and an example of great modern literature. Beauty, humor and factual accuracy are all showcased in this true-life tale of a veterinarian working in a simple Scottish farming community. A must read for all those who love people, animals, and God's beautiful creation.
Fantastic book by a wonderful author. Herriot always delivers, his way with humor and descriptive words, makes you long to visit his world. My mother read me these books when I was a child. I have loved and cherished them since.
This is actually the first 2 books of his series. I was riveted by the stories of his life as a vet.
