This book is the first of 12 in a series. I wasn't sure I was going to like this book by the cover. But I have heard it said that "You can't judge a book by it's cover" so I didn't. The story starts out with Jodi (the main Character) attending a Chicago Women's Conference with her School Principal friend Avis. About 500 women are there.
The first night they split everyone up to pray in PRAYER GROUPS. These woman are like the league of nations. All different shapes and sizes and backgrounds. They are at this conference for 3 days and decide to keep the prayer group going. There are 12 women total in the group.
They prayed for each other via e-mail and that worked for a while but a few of the girls did not have e-mail. It became difficult to keep in touch. So, they decided to meet in person to pray.
God uses these women to knock off each other's rough edges, and learn to laugh and cry along the way. God also uses these women to show all of them what it means to be just a sinner SAVED BY GRACE. It is light hearted and powerful in parts. Not what I excepted. I'm glad.

Very moving. What happens when you put a bunch of random women together and surround them with the love of God and the spirit of women.

Great book. A little different than other Christian Chick lit I've read but I really got wrapped up in the story. I loved following the women in the prayer group as well. It made me long for my own prayer group like theirs.

This is such an emotional story. It has characters that could be your next door neighbor. The stories are realistic and could hit close to home. It is a story of friendship, new experiences, and lifes scary parts.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a great story about the bonds we make through our faith that keep us all connected, and always there for one another.

Awesome book! Gave me a whole new perspective on prayer, and made me long to part of a prayer group just like the Yada Yadas.
A group of women at a Christian Women's Conference are grouped into a prayer group. They agree to keep this prayer group active after the conference. This is a story of God working in their lives as they pray for and support each other.
A great Christian Fiction book, after reading it you will be encouraged to pray more. The story follows the life of the main character Jodi Baxter. Jodi learns about God's grace when she realizes she does need prayer. A great story with Christian ideas throughout and good character development.
I thought this book was well written but certainly not a page turner. Unexpected ending
This is a very up;ifting book and I will bet there is a character that in some way reminds you of yourself. I highly recommend it!
Very good read. Alittle slow in the middle for a bit, but not to be a deterant. Each of the books in the series gets better and better.
I really loved this book, and can't wait to start on the second one.
This was a great book, christian chic lit at it's best!

The Yada Yada series is delightful; I loved all 7 of them!! This #1 book begins a wonderful journey of laughter, tears, faith, and encouragment. Highly recommend ALL the books in this series. Sharon E
This is a great book for women about women and a real relationship with the Lord. Loved it!
While I'm not a religious person, I thought I would enjoy reading about the friendships made in this book. However, it was so slow-going that I could not get past chapter 10. I wish I hadn't wasted a PBS credit on it.
A very good book to start the series. Though towards the middle it draws out just a little bit it really picks up towards the end and has you gripping the end of your seat. Be you a Christian or not, this is a good book to read.

A group of from diverse cultures and backgrouds who discover a common bond through prayer and concern for each other. You can discover your self through the characters.

What do an ex-con, a former drug addict, a real estate broker, a college student, and a married mother of two have in common? The YadaYada Prayer Group, of course!
Good book. But rather slow read.
A fast moving, thought provoking book.
What do an ex-con, a former drug addict, a real estate broker, a college student, and a married mother of two have in common? Nothing, or so I thought. Who would have imagined that God would make a group as mismatched as ours the closest of friends?

I really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to the sequel if there is one.
We read this in our church fiction book club. It was very reality based and dealt with real life issues.
Jodi Baxter lifetime christian meets up with 12 other women and form and prayer group. Lots of laughter and tears. She writes with humor and wit. I really enjoyed her writing. A real page turner.
A delightful, easy read book.
Interesting. An easy read. Not too deep. I loved the fact that it was set in Chicago and made reference to specific suburbs. It made it more personal since I live in a Chicago 'burb.
This is a series and a great read.

Cute book that shows how everyone is different in this world, but we all love the same God. Makes you think about how we stereotype people. Good read, easy, enjoyable.
