Comments on Book Donations to Brickett Elementary School - Lynn, MA

Thanks to all the PaperBackSwap donations of credits and books! As a parent of 2 children who attend Brickett, I've seen first-hand the dedication of the teachers, helping my daughters learn to read, opening up new worlds for them. I know the book donation will mean so much to all 350 of the students!

As the principal of the Brickett School I can't tell you how excited I am that our school will be receiving all these books. Please accept a heartfelt "thank you" for all of the donated books!! As a special education teacher at the Brickett School I am keenly aware of the importance of books to develop prereading skills, vocvabualry and a love of reading. Many of my students at Brickett School stuggle with the mechanics of reading in addtition to lack of background knowledge and second language issues. Because of your wonderful donation of books in addition to each student taking home a book, I was able to choose some books for my students at their reading level. They are thrilled to be able to take home books to read, reread and reread to practice reading fluency! Thank you sharing a lovve of reading with our students.
