Winfield-Mt.Union ElementaryWe hit our Book Credits goal!
Greetings from Winfield Mt. Union Elementary School!
We are excited to be selected for the PaperBackSwap School Book Donation Program. Our elementary school is located in SE Iowa, and has approximately 50% of our students on the state's free and reduced lunch program.
We are fortunate to be housed in a Pre-K -12 building. Our elementary school partners with high school classes for buddy reading programs as well as mentoring. In addition we have elementary classes that partner together for weekly reading activities. Our hope with the donations from the members PaperBackSwap is simply to build our classroom libraries and offer more "take home books" for children to use.
We continue to emphasize the importance of reading, both at home and school. In addition we have added an at-risk program for children with different learning needs. These books will help to build a library within this new classroom. With funding cuts these free books will really make a difference in the lives of our children. Thanks for inspiring our children to be the best they can be! A

A huge thank you to all members of PaperBackSwap that donated their book credits to our school!
We had fun watching the book credits count up and were shocked that we met our goal in just one day. Receiving our donated books right before the holiday break will be an added treat to a festive season. Can't wait to share some photos with you when the books arrive! Again, thank you. You have touched many young lives!
