From an HP I just read: "She cried out his name as Luca did hers--feeling him bucking inside her, delivering his precious load to her deprived body." EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Makes it additionally ewww that this characters is a total playboy. I hate to think what might be lurking in that "precious load" if he never uses protection. |

I absolutly hate it when they involve body parts that shouldn't be involved like ......... banging on the cervix? Ouch. |

Oh yeah, or actually entering her womb - God forbid!

LOL. I hate "phallus" but I think I already mentioned that in another thread. |

I agree about the excerpt you posted. One of my pet peeves is an author who likes the word "manroot". Ugh. I looked it up and its the root of something similar to a sweet potato vine. |

manroot and precious load - oo ha ha |

Ow--my stomach hurts from laughing. Precious load--sounds like something a doting parent would call their child'd dirty diaper! And manroot--yeah ewwww. |

Yeah I could do without any juice slurping as well. Precious Load? BWAH! |

and how about when she "weeps" for him! |

OMG precious load? That reminds of that little creepy dude from Lord Of The Rings.Slurping juices makes me think of eating watermelon. Personally, the "nubbin" or "little nubbin" references make me cringe.

ugh I could name a lot lol her pearl, her button, weeping is one I hate as well....or if she is "tearing" and not from her eyes lol |

you know what ---- I don't like "slit" either. jeeez. almost makes me mad. and these are women writing these terms! dang. |

Ok here's the word that I can't stand...c*nt. I hate that word. I especially can't stand it when it's a woman saying it. The other thing that I just have to roll my eyes at is when they say the guy has "spilled his seed" into the woman. Oh good grief! Do I really need to think about it like that???? I mean that brings to mind Johnny Appleseed running through the meadows dropping seed everywhere. Each time a seed falls a little tree grows...come on!!! Talk about women authors making poor word choices....I read a book just before Christmas (and posted it to get rid of it) in which the author uses the "C" and "D" words to describe the male and female body parts of interest, respectively. Ugh. At least with "precious load" you can snicker. Which HP was it, so I can avoid it. |

At least you're envisioning flowers, Michelle. I see little fishy sperms floating around! |

LOL must be heck to clean that up...we have a toxic spill...please send out the Haz Mat team! |

I prefer for an author to come right out and say it, the d, c, other c, and p words don't bother me. Maybe since I love erotica, and they don't sugarcoat anything lol |

Marilyn - it was Bought By the Billionaire Prince by Carol Marinelli. Not half bad, aside from the gag-o-rama. I much prefer the earthier terms, myself. Within reason. There's earthy and then there's... should be buried. |

I'd rather read c0ck or d1ck than "nature's joystick", which I swear to you I read in a recent contemporary erotica book. |

Ah, that's where we vary. I would rather read the euphemism than the rude slang most of the time, although some of the phrases mentioned here are...well, you can see the request for new euphemisms by editors doesn't always improve matters ! :-) On a side, though related, note -- one of the funniest sequences I've seen in a movie is in "10 Things I Hate About You" where the romance author/guidance counselor is looking for alternative adjectives while writing a sex scene at work. What a hoot! |

"Nature's joystick"?! And I thought "Pleasure Center" sounded too much like video games! |
