I love this idea. How many times to I think of a book, or an author and can't remember something....run to paperbackswap and I can find it. I can remember books from years ago that meant something to me and now....run to paperbackswap and I can have it! I don't have to go to the bookstore, find that I'm the only one in the history of the world who is interested and wait for them to get the book ordered, then go back to the store to pick it up. You know the routine, parking, meter money, slushy, icy sidewalks. Nope. Right here in my warm house I can get what I want. And, even if I do have to wait for my wish list books, who cares? There are so many other books to read. When I come in to shop I still get the same feeling of excitement that I got when I bought my first book with my birthday money...The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew. I loved it and I felt so grown up. Well, I'm beyond grown up now, but I never stopped loving to read and loving books. I've read some really wonderful books and some really horrible books, but I love having the option to come to paperbackswap and ask for any book!

Books? Used to be that when I wanted a book my first stop would be Amazon.com. Not anymore! I can't tell you when the last was that I BOUGHT a book! My first stop now is always Paperbackswap. Chances are the book is there for free. AND, let's not underestimate the importance to those of us who love real, actual, paper books of being able to pass them on to other bibliophiles. No more hauling them off to the library for their (maybe) sales, or begging the relatives and friends to please take a few! You will know your books are going to someone who really wants them. Paperbackswap is the best book idea in ages!
