  Travel Haiku

Dark waves lap gently
Unseen sails seek warm, soft breeze
Sultry velvet night

Traffic, noise, and haste
Roman streets host modern life
Ancient stone below

Night on Bourbon Street
Open doors spill jazz and blues
Mississippi near

Badlands stretch ahead
Majesty, mystery, fear
Like evil castles

Blueberries grow wild
Picked warm from summer sunshine
High above the lake
