I really like this series, but this book just fell flat for me. Too many crimes to solve and not enough detail about anything.

Loved it! Been waiting a long time for this one and it did not disappoint!
Lindsey's child is born during a storm at night in her apartment. Problems with the baby, her friends are all going through emotional situations as well as her husband.
Kept my attention all the way until the last page!
Good reading, as usual.

Another great installment in this series. Same old characters. They seem like old friends. Just start reading and there they are, it is like they never left.
Lots of action, Some twists and turns. Surprise ending. Patterson doesn't close everything, and leaves something for the next time (book). A good read. Again a library book, so you either have to wait here for a copy or get lucky at your library.

Full disclosure; I'm a huge Patterson; but, this one left me feeling very blah. Used to love this series but felt this book, had too many different plots going on, was extremely predictable and would have liked the ending to be more definitive. It was a good no-brainer read but never felt like it was one I could get my teeth into - not the story excitement as I've come to expect in a Patterson book

I can't believe it but I couldn't even finish the book. I think I got tired of the same thing happening over and over again in this series. Everything seemed really forced and didn't quite made sense for me.

Definitely not my favorite.

Really disappointed in this book. Used to like the Women's Murder Club series, but won't be reading any more. The book was more like an outline of what he wanted to write. None of the characters or plots were fleshed out and some parts, as the court scenes, were absolutely ridiculous. You'd think Lindsay was the only detective working for the police dept. I almost didn't finish this book and that's something I rarely do. Will be very dubious about picking any more of Patterson's books.

disappointing! SPOILERS follow--
The gang is back, each of the 4 women dealing with their own crisis, either at work or at home. As always, this was a quick read with Patterson's infamous short chapters.......sometimes only 2-3 pages.
Very unrealistic situation surrounding Lindsay's recovery from the birth of her first child following a birth at home with the help of firemen. Apparently she returns to work after just 3 weeks!
A new female character is introduced who is interning at the homicide dept with Conklin and Lindsay. Makes for an interesting twist.

But book just ends with an unresolved case..........you want to immediately read #13, which of course is a WL wait !

Quick read, with likable, real characters. A lot of plot twists making it hard to put down.

Unfortunately, this book does not live up to the previous ones in the series. There are several VERY unrealistic scenarios throughout the book.

WARNING - SPOILERS!

First, Lindsay returns to active duty after about a week of maternity leave. Secondly, an intern within the police department is allowed access to a potential crime scene that would never happen in real life. Further, a very senior FBI official allows an imprisoned felon to accompany the police not once, but twice to potential crime scenes after deceiving the police many times. Again, this would absolutely never happen in real life. Finally, after the birth of her first baby, Lindsay has a brief visit with the "Women's Murder Club" (of course at their favorite restaurant), but that is it for the entire book. Really? After something that life-changing, the girls aren't there for her as she goes through a very harrowing time in her life? Give me a break!

I found myself repeatedly questioning how truly unbelievable the story was in many instances, and how it seemed to be a rush to finish writing the book without providing enough character details. Then again, what should I expect at this point from James Patterson - his books seem to all be getting like that as he gets older.
