I don't know about anyone else, but I don't think there's a set rule about how many categories one can use the same book in.

My thoughts on this is as long as more than one book is read in each category it shouldn't matter.

I usually put a book in just one category, but it is your challenge so you can decide how you want to play it.

I feel like reading a cozy and I need to read a cozy about pie for a goodread challenge

Bleeding Tarts by Kirsten Weiss. 2nd in the pie shop series. Enjoyable cozy set in California. Likable characters and great cat. Pie recipes in back of book look great.

I am reading Tidings of Death at Honeychurch Hall by Hannah Dennison. I love this series. Characters are growing in depth with each book.

New author/new series for me beginning with this book:  Better Off Read (Bookmobile, Bk 1) Nora Page.   Seems most of the characters are older, more quirky senior citizens for your reading pleasure.  Otherwise a typical cozy......

Just finished Written Off (Mysterious Detective, Bk 1) by E.J. Copperman   This was a very different angle for a cozy read.  Don’t want to say to much and spoil it.  I really really enjoyed the different approach from the typical but still very much a cozy by all means and measures.  Hope to pick up the next one in series soon.  If you have it lingering on your tbr its worth the time.

I needed an author that uses initials for this months mini challenge in Goodreads Cozy group
I am reading
Purr M for Murder by T.C. LoTempio.

It is about an animal rescue shelter in North Carolina. Very basic cozy follows the usual formula. I like all the cats a lot.

I am reading Cherry Pies and  Deadly Lies by Darci Hannah set in Wisconsin. I don't think I have ever read a book set in Wisconsin. Darci Hannah is one off Cozy Mystery Corner's author of the month in Goodreads. It is Ms. Hannah's first book. It needs a bit of editing and follows cozy script closely. Some of the phrases our main character, Whitney Bloom, uses like Oh Crumble is a bit annoying. Overall enteraining though.  Really good cherry recipes at back of book.

Has anyone read this series?

I read the first two in the series, Alice, and enjoyed them.  I also really liked her new series which takes place in Michigan. The title is Murder at the Beacon Bakeshop.

I've added those Darci Hannah books to my wishlist and already receiving a couple of them.  Yeah!

I usually try to fill at least five books for each category of the cozy challenge.  I just checked mine and I only need a couple new series, one with death in the title,  and three feathered friends and my goal will be complete.......and the year's not half over.

Lynn I am reading bye bye Birdie, an ebook I got on overdrive, and if I like it I'll continue the series, knocking out new senes and birds for me.

Only need 2 new series and 1 cozy with death in the title.   I have these on my TBR so my challenge of five in each category will be completed soon.....but sure I'll add as the year goes on.
