REMINDER:  The RAOK forum is open to the public, not just to PBS members.  To protect your privacy, the 3 monthly recurring threads are intended to be limited to just what their titles say - Wishes, RAOK offers, and Thanks for wishes granted.  In other words, the posts in these 3 threads should be originating messages only.  Responses to, or chat about, those posts should be  ONLY by private PMs.  Chatting is welcome in the Share and Care forum, which is limited to PBS members, and where card showers and prayer chains are available for anyone who asks for support.
_________________________________________________________________________________________

Welcome to the Wishes thread, where we post our wishes - maybe things we collect, something we can no longer find in our area, things we have always wanted etc, etc. No wish is too unusual (though common sense is appreciated!); you never know what will turn up.

We must all abide by these PBS rules :
You may not wish for money or money-like items such as gift cards, stamps, or for monetary donations for any charities.  You may ask for things you collect for charities, such as cancelled stamps, pop can tabs, etc., but you may not solicit funding. This includes donations for GoFundMe and other fund-raising events.
No buying, selling, or advertising. No spam posts.
No wishing for credits.  Credits are bought, sold and loaned only in the Book Bazaar forum, or you may use the PBS Kiosk to purchase them.
Do NOT ask for books, since books are swapped on the site and book deals are made in the Book Bazaar. Sorry, but you may not ask for free books of any kind. (Unpostable books are given away in the damaged book thread of the Bazaar and sometimes in the RAOK thread.  There is also a Damaged/Unpostable Virtual Box in the Games forum.  New participants are welcome!)

Our own RAOK rules:
Please do not offer payment for the things you are sent, including postage. RAOKs are given freely, asking nothing in return except a thank you. You could pay it forward by granting a wish yourself.
Please limit your wishes to no more than 10. Lists could get very long. You can always edit as you go along.
Unlike many other forums, we ask that you do NOT reply within the threads. We do everything by PMs between members. This keeps the threads clutter-free and easy to use. When you come to this ***Wishes*** thread, you see wishes. In the ***RAOK*** thread, it's all about things we are giving away - simple and easy. And to protect your privacy, please do not post your address in the thread - it's all done via PM.
Please check in and answer your PMs. It's frustrating when people want to grant your wishes and don't hear from you!
PLEASE say THANK YOU to the person who grants your wish.  You may use our monthly ***Thank You*** thread, or you may acknowledge what you have received via a personal PM to the member(s) who granted your wishes. This is very important if you wish to continue to receive things from others.

Tips:
Check the RAOK thread before you post wishes -- the thing you want may already be there for the asking!  If you see a wish you can grant, just PM the poster for their address.
And please remember, if one of the moderators contacts you about a posting, then we are only trying to keep the forum running smoothly and according to PBS rules. If you are asked to change, move, or delete your post, please do so. Most of you know that the PBS team does get involved to edit posts, and accounts do get suspended, if rules are broken. We hate to see that happen to our fellow RAOKers!

If you have questions, feel free to contact me.  I wish that your wish(es) will be granted!

Thanks to all who sent my parents a card or message for their 50th anniversary.  My mom was estatic with all the wishes.

Continue prayers for our country as Covid and Turmoil seem to be everywhere.

Small toys for children that I use all year for children's projects - bounce balls, rubber ducks, tattoos, etc.

I also ask for prayers that no one else gets Covid! And for a good New Years for everyone!

1.) Art supplies for my niece who loves to paint.

2.) Kitchen towels -- thank you to the kind person who responded!

3.) Trash bags

Prayers for a healthy and bright New Year for all! Thank you all always for the light and kindness you spread. May we as a world come together greater in kind faith.

To those of you that offered to write a story as part of the project I am working on, please PM me an update within the next week on how your story (or stories) are coming along. I pray, God willing, to keep moving forward with this. To anyone else who likes to write or share briefly an act of kindness and faith, PM me! Thank you :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

My wishes this start of a brand new year is that everyone stays safe and healthy from the covid-19. Hope we never have a repeat of 2020.

If possible, Bob could really use curel ultra healing lotion for his legs. Right now he's having a really hard time with his legs and that lotion seems to help more than any other I've tried on him. Even the more expensive one I got him for Christmas doesn't work as well as the curel does. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

For me, if anyone has any of those "to go" drink mixes you add to water, I'd appreciate it. I especially like the grape flavor or lemon lime. I'm trying to cut out caffeine and real sugar as much as I can so the to go drink packets would help me out a lot.

Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

my asking wish is for any grocery coupons you might like to send my way. I use Kroger most but any manufactured coupons will be greatly appreciated. I share with a few other family members so any at any time will help us all.

Thank you, Vicky!

I LOVE the print on an old and favorite pair of cotton shorts. Since they can no longer be worn, I was hoping to have a mask made from the fabric.  There is probably enough fabric for several masks, which could be kept or shared.  I'd just love the one mask.

Would anyone with sewing skills, and in particular mask sewing talent, be willing to make a mask for me using this fabric?  If so, I will zing it right out....and any extra masks made could be yours to keep.

Crazy, I know.  But I just love these shorts.

Please just zing me a pm if you can help!  Thank you and Happy New Year to everyone!

Happy new year, all! May 2021 treat us gently.

My wishes:

-anything groundhog. I love Groundhog Day, but here in South Florida it´s not a "thing." Why would it be? We don´t get winter here, so there´s no eagerness for it to be over! lol But I grew up in the Midwest and love folklore and quirky things, so Groundhog Day is right up my alley. I do already have the Groundhog Day movie.

-anything U.S. Army-related. A fellow worker of mine in her mid-20s is joining the Army! She ships out for basic training on Jan. 19 to Ft. Jackson, SC. Any little thing I can slip into an envelope for her would be appreciated.

-any old cds you no longer want (jewel cases not necessary), especially if it´s anything by Tom Petty, Dolly Parton, or Johnny Cash, but anything in general, whether it be music or "talking" (lectures, devotions, etc.). In English or Spanish.  edited to add: Anything bluegrass, as well!

-anything Bob Ross. Everything about him and his work is just soothing to me.

My daughter Eloise, aged 9, is very interested in whether the mail has arrived.  She runs out to the mailbox multiple times a day.

I think she would enjoy some snail-mail.  She likes unicorns, rainbows, and cats--typical girly girl.

I am wishing for a desk calendar. I need one that has the entire year on one thing. I don't mind advertising or whatever. I need this for work. Ususally reps bring them in but no one has this year. Thanks to anyone that can send me one.

Wish granted thanks so much Lisa (tommygirl)

I'm looking for a wallet sized magnetic photo frame to stick to my fridge. I haven't had much luck finding one in the stores here.

I'm jumping into making several projects.  I'm looking for stickers and computer paper with designs around the edges, any type.

Always happy to get paper napkins too.

Thank you for reading.  Happy New Year!

Looking for used Christmas card fronts. We need religious pictures...the nativity, Bethlehem, three kings, Mary on a donkey, and especially angels, etc.

Our craft group at church uses these to decorate Scripture books for children.

We also need double-stitck scrapbook adhesive, if you have some to share.

We could use some ribbons, any length, or cotton yarn (like Sugar and Cream, or Peaches and Cream) to tie the spines on the books.

Thank you!

I'd like to ask for my mom; she will be turning 85 in early Feb and many changes are happening right now for her. I would be forever grateful if she could be showered with cards for her Big 85 Birthday. with USPS still slow, I'm hoping she could get a few before her big day.

Her cards can come to my PO Box if you'll just write Attention; Shirley R. somewhere on the card, I'll get them to her for her to open.

no gatherings or celebrations this year, so this will be her only way to celebrate her 85th. Thank you all for all the RAOKs done for others.

Would love anything with Elsa from Frozen

Apparently my granddaugher is obssesed with Elsa from Frozen. She was telling me all about it on our Facetime chat today.

She is two. She can say "Elsa" and "frozen" and "Nana...I love Elsa". Soooooooooo cute!

I send her some mail every week. I would love to be able to send her something with Elsa on it...stickers, a book, anything.

Thank you.

I am spending an extended time caring for 2 elderly relatives. We are sort of housebound except for my uncle's trips to dialysis (he goes, we don't) but it's a bit of a break to have half day with only one person to care for (my 83 year old aunt with Cerebral Palsy)!

Any caregiving tips, pointers or good wishes would be MUCH appreciated.

Debbie
