The year is 1319 in the town of Tavistock, Devon where a faire is about to begin. It is interrupted by a murder. Former knights Templar, Sir Baldwin Furnshill and Simon Puttlock, baliff of Lydford are asked by the Abbot to investigate the murder.
It was a very engaging novel of intrigue and mystery.
