I really like the Brenda Midnight series. Imagine finding a milliner (hat maker) now days. Poor Brenda is barely making ends meet though. Still her quirky friends, the New York setting, and the funny moments in this mystery make a good read.
I liked this character and her wacky friends.

This is an older series that I just came across and I like it a lot. Definitely not predictable.
