This book gets very mixed reviews! I enjoyed it because it carried on from 'Captive'. The story was good as I remember but I think it may have aged somewhat in what we find palatable now days in a hero. The best book of this trilogy I feel was 'The Bodyguard'. That is book #3.

I was excited and hopeful when I realized there was a second half, however I was disappointed. I just didn't feel a connection with Eliza and Marcus and maybe that's why I felt this book was bland.

Even though I enjoyed the other two books in the Captive series, because of this book, I'm a little hesitant to read The Bodygaurd...
