Nat Henthoff is widely considered the dean of popular American music critics-discerning, even-handed, insightful. I have never left a book of his without feeling I've added important and relevant bits of knowledge about the arts we love so well. If you read "Hear Me Talkin' To Ya", you'll believe that the conversations never stopped. If not, this is a worthwhile introduction to the body of Henthoff's work-work that treats the music and the musicians with the intelligent love and admiration they deserve. READ THIS BOOK IF YOU LOVE AMERICAN ROOTS MUSIC!!! 'Nuff said.
