How could so much history occur without a whisper about it today? Well, CAPTIVATING HISTORY sets about telling the fascinating story of Nubia and their frequent interactions with Egypt and Rome. Nubia seems at least as old as Egypt. The author mentions humanoids as early inhabitants!

Gold and granite were two of the Nubian's greatest exports. Surprisingly, Egypt and Nubia shared gods, architecture, art, and trade. At other times, the Nubians and Egyptians fought terrible wars. Nubia created twice as many pyramids as the Egyptians, but theirs are shaped narrower.

This tells the captivating story of the ancient standing stones of Nabta Playa. These stones predate Stonehenge by at least a thousand years. Learn about the geography of the lands and how it has changed (and why). The photos are amazing; take a look at the Khepesh sword. The peoples of the Kerma and Kush civilizations are impressive reading. This is an eye-opening overview of lands and times most readers never encounter. Great information.
