Contemporary erotic romance from Samhain Publishing. Two stores by Patrice Michelle. First, Diedre returns home after 10 years, and is reacqainted with the man she's never forgotten, Jonas. But, Jonas was burned by another woman, and has vowed never to commit to a woman again. By the time Diedre is supposed to leave, Jonas changes his mind. Then, Susan meets a handsome restauranteur, and connects with him in a way she has never connected with a man before. I didn't care for this book. The conflict in each story wasn't well defined, especially in the second story. The writing is simplistic, and the plots predictable. Recommend that you don't go out of your way to buy this one new.

I have read two other books by PM (Bad in Boots series) and was a little disappointed by these two stories. They did not seem to have the same intensity, and did not get as invested in the characters as I have with her other stories. It is not that they were bad (3.5 stars) they were just not as good as the others. Seduction, was the better of the two. Still worth reading if you get the chance.

Jonas Mendez is the local sheriff who is keeping an eye on her due to a rash of vandalism at her parents place. Deidre left Ventura because she always had a crush on Jonas and he was engaged. Now that they are both single the attraction is still there.

Susanna Brennon has always been sensible. After her parents death she had to raise her brother and did not have time for fun. She runs into Michael Piccoli while making dinner arrangements for her brothers wedding reception. Michael is instantly attracted to Shannon but realizes she holds herself back alot. She does not trust easily because everyone she ever cared about ends up leaving her. So Michael proceeds to seduce her so she will take a chance with him.
Both are very sweet, romantic love stories.
