I had 'can't find this page' messages for a while in the middle of the day.

Me too!  Couldn't get back on for about an hour.  Tried firefox, my usual and then Chrome... no luck with either

Glad it's working better today despite the need for multiple logging in..

Not locked out, but keep getting kicked out and asked to sign in again WHILE I am in the middle of posting or trying to print a book maiking label.

No problems here - been on 5 or 6 times since 3am this morn...might have been between times perhaps.

That was happening to me for every link that I tried in a daily newsletter I receive  -Not PBS- this is my first time here today and it opened immediately.  For about a week I've had trouble with my email - when I click on an email, I get a message saying I'm not connected to the internet.  Which of course, I have to be to open my email account.  When I hit the back button and try again, it usually works, but occasionally takes a couple of tries...  So far I haven't been blocked from here...

Maybe so many people working from home is causing more than normal glitches???

I couldn't access the site most of the afternoon today.

No problem for me all afternoon. I used  both Firefox and Safari without issues.  

I couldn't access the site from mid-morning until mid-afternoon and this time I couldn't access the DVD part either.

We had two major components (primary and backup) fail at our data center. One of our System Administrators is currently en route to the data center to replace the hardware. Thanks for the information, Amber. When this happens, those of us not on FB are left in the dark until it reappears.

I finally went to Google and to the site (and can't remember the name) where it tells you when a site is down, and sure enough, PBS was down most of the morning. Pat

I was impressed by how fast the team addressed the hardware failure and got the site back running again. Any other small operation would have likely been offline much longer than a few hours.

I was all morning long.

Pat, that was opprobably Downdetector where you saw that OBS was offline. 
I never saw the outage cause I checked the site early morn before I attended an online conference all day. 
I have had lots of sites with tech issues the past few weeks ( see my whining in other threads about shopping during isolation) Two sites I tried to shop at today can't process orders as neither could access 'my account' with them. They didn't have the option to check out as a guest so until they fix their problems (which I reported) I'm stuck not being able to complete my orders.
