Is there a "fail-safe" way of telling whether an audiobook is abridge or unabridged if the title or book description doesn't indicate it? MaryF |

I look on Amazon. If it is still not clear, I might use a RC before I order the book so that the member who holds the book can check to see if the box says anything. Last Edited on: 1/9/13 3:27 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

The best source I've found is to search by the ISBN in Worldcat.org -- it usually says pretty clearly if it is abridged, as well as how many discs/tapes there are, and how many minutes long. Those of us on the Data Team do try to add that info to the title field in audiobooks whenever we can, but we can't get them all, obviously. |

If it's not listed on the book description here, I post an edit on that page with the correct information. It gets double checked before it's approved and is helpful for next person. |
