The subject matter makes this one a little difficult to read at times, BUT the writer is so talented and his writing is so achingly beautiful and sincere that you don't mind. I really loved this book - I read it in one sitting (that never happens) because I just couldn't wait to see how it ended. The title perfectly captures the mood of the book and its story - how people contend with their own deep-rooted desires in their own way. Some give in, some withstand and some can't seem to move on. No one ever wants to truly believe that they themselves could be more alike than different from those we despise. A remarkable book, a remarkable author. Give this book a chance, it won't let you down.
