Oh dear. I never thought I would use this word to describe a Lori Foster book. Ordinary. Two romances, one young and the other not so much. The intrigue is tired and not very intriguing. Lots of lost opportunities for physical fun too. Come back to us Ms. Foster!

While not my favorite in the series I am glad Foster returned to planet earth. Back in Black is a good read, full of the humor, spice and steamy sex scenes I have come to expect and why I enjoy Fosters books. Two love stories are in this series but that does not detract from the book, they are not conflicting and I did not feel the main storyline was neglected or underdeveloped. If your a Foster fan I suggest you grab this book for a quiet night. If you have not read her work before start at the beginning of the series, but make no mistake that regardless of your feelings about My Man Micheal (I for one could not get through it) this book brings you right back to the ring.

Not my favorite of the SBC series, it was rather slow and actually had two separate romances as the focus of the book. Still, it was a decent read and worth it as part of the series.

Lori Foster continues to disappoint me with her books of late. This book was just plain awful! The secondary story overtook the main story and the secondary characters were better developed than the main characters. I am finally turned off enough by this author to take her off my auto-buy list. What a disappointment.

I really enjoyed this book. Usually Lori makes me a think a bit when reading, but with this book I was able to check my brain at the door and just enjoy. And enjoy I did. The interaction between all characters were fantastic...in my opinion. :o) Some areas were just plain ol' STEAMY!!! Give it a chance, you may like it.

This was a fun book. Very alpha male but with a good sense of humor about himself which makes him approachable. The heroine was nice portrayed too. A keeper!

Good story, very steamy love scenes. Two love stories going on at the same time. I thought it came together a little to quickly at the end. They needed a little more conflict at the end to pull them apart. Definitely an enjoyable, quick read.

Really steamy story! Totally hot, that's all I can say about this book. The intensity was so amazing, I could literally feel the sweat and racing heartbeats of the characters. The dialogue was so real. Lori really knows how to take an idea and write it realistically and believable.
I like the characters but a bit heavy on the fight talk.
I love this book, a great read.
Never thought I'd enjoy reading about SBC. I don't like fighting at all. But she does a great job of getting you to fall in love with all these big lugs and each book adds more men and women to their big family. If you haven't read this series; I'd suggest it. Lori Foster gets you to giggle, surprizes you and adds a little lust whiles she's at it.
This had 2 sets of main characters and I enjoyed them both. Plot could have been somewhat more complex - but with two sets of people to hook up, it wasn't. Very erotic in nature; more so than most romance stories. Very contemporary chick lit - hot. I hope Ms. Foster continues with this SBC series.
