Like all of Boynton's books, "Barnyard Dance" is adorable. The rhyme scheme is lively and easily learned. My grandchilden, ages two and three, get up and dance, acting out the words as i read. A mush have for evry toddler's bookshelf.

My daughter (2 years old) just looooves this book. She got it as a gift from a friend just a couple days ago for her birthday and I think I've read it 100 times already! So I went ahead and ordered 2 more Sandra Boynton board books off ebay. I'm thinking of finding all of them she likes them so much.

LOVE THIS BOOK! I received it when my daughter was about 5 months old. I would read it as if it were a square dance song (does that make sense?) Anyway read it for YEARS because of her request for it. She's 13 now and when the book is mentioned you can hear her hum the "song" All my nieces and nephews now have copies. Great light hearted book - love this out of all her books that we have had!

Another hit from Sandra Boynton! I can honestly say I enjoy reading her books, and my kids love them, too. This has a fun square dance cadence to it, with Boynton's usual quirky illustrations and characters. A fun way for younger kids to learn animals and their sounds.

I like the cow with the sunglasses and fiddle, but really, do you want to educate your child's mind with horrendous pictures and awful rhymes? I thought not...

This is my 10 month old's favorite book! Just hearing it read makes her clap her hands and dance. It rhymes wonderfully and has great animal pictures. No matter how you read it, it sounds like you are singing and makes you want to clap along with the words. I just brought a copy for my friend who is expecting. Everyone should have a copy of this book!
As an adult, this is what I think a book for young children should be. I got this for a little two year old. Her mom says she loves it.

You can't go wrong with a Boynton book. My 2 (almost 3) yr. old LOVES all of her books. This one is fun because they can do the actions of the animals and learn the animals names.
