For whatever reason, I love maritime fiction, especially naval war fiction. "The Bedford Incident" is one of my favorites, and I only posted my 1964 paperback copy because I recently came into possession of a hardback first edition.

The movie based on this book, staring Richard Widmark and Sidney Poitier, is also excellent.

If you enjoy naval fiction, you will not be disappointed in this book.
