i've read hundreds of fantasy novels, and this one, by far, takes the cake for my favorite. if you pick it up, you'll not want to put it down. 5 stars!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked it so much I have ordered more by this author.
This is a fun read. I liked Belgarath in the Belgariad and the Mallorean, and he's just as fun here, as the "writer" of this, his "autobiography."
This basically gets into what he was up to before the Belgariad, so if you've read the 2 series, and you know and like this fun (and funny) character, you'll love this.

one of my alltime favorite books, tells the tale of the legendary Belgarath. this is the book that turned me on to fantasy books.
Oh this was a joy to read. Funny and just plain fun... blows away Tolkien wish they would make the whole series into movies
This book was fantastic! It fills in the gaps from the Belgariad, Mallorean, and Polgara the Sorceress. They go in that order, then finish with Belgarath, so this book wraps up all the loose ends and fleshes out the lives of the main characters.
The originality of this book (and the entire series) is impressive. I highly recommend it. It's a great read and well worth it.
