Cute story about time travel, into Arthur and Merlin times. Not much historical detail, but a nice love story.

I could not get into this book. I didn't find any of the characters likeable and the heroine, Tessa, who is supposed to be extremely intelligent just seemed stupid. There was no emotional heart to the story and it just felt like a bad sitcom with a bad laugh track.

I had to put it down. Boring and unreadable.

I have read several of Victoria Alexander's books before but I thought this was so clever --- sending a modern woman back to the Middle Ages. Merlin was a hoot and quite the comic relief.

Yes, I am sure the writing could have been better, but I thought this was so clever of her. The characters were great and Galahad was exactly as you would expect from a Knight of the Round table.

I recommend it highly. Not for historical value but for a laugh or two.

I love Victoria Alexander's books, so snatched this one asap. This is an update of one of her early books. Not my kind of vehicle, but it had wonderful themes & was well worth the read.

Tessa St. James teaches a class on ancient legends and is stuck teaching the one legend she absolutely hates - King Arthur and the knights of the round table. After getting an ancient book as a gift from her mother, strange things start happening. The pages of the book keep changing and out pops Merlin himself. It's laugh-out-loud funny when Merlin appears and yanks Tessa back in time - right into the legend she despises. Now she's expected to go on a quest with Sir Hunk, er...Sir Galahad. This is a really funny book and Galahad is truly a knight in shining armor once he gets over his "you are woman and belong in the kitchen" stick.

I read this book several years ago, but didn't remember until I got through the first chapter or so... too often an occurance these days. In any case, I thoroughly enjoyed it again.

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't what i thought it was. After reading into it, i find it was a time travel book and love story in the time of King Arthur. Truly an interesting book i could not put it down. Very good!
